November 27, 200718 yr my life ebb away as the universe crushes me, one micron at a time. That's quite slow -- you've got time.
November 27, 200718 yr Ah, the joys of not having to work. =T I fell asleep watching Weeds. Who said I don't work?
November 28, 200718 yr Maybe because seeing President Palmer every commercial break for Allstate means there's no more love left to give
November 28, 200718 yr After several months of goading, a friend finally pushed the Lost Season 1 DVDs on me, so I'm giving them a shot. I'd watched the first few episodes of season 1 last year, and it didn't really do it for me, but I just watched episode 4, and it was pretty good.

I have a working theory that it takes up to 4 episodes of any given show to "grow" on you, and if it hasn't by then, it probably won't. It doesn't often happen with just one episode anymore.
November 29, 200718 yr Fell asleep watching House, though I think I passed out with only 5 minutes left. Scrubs is on tonight!
November 29, 200718 yr Scrubs is on tonight! damn it, i haven't seen last week's yet, better get on that before tonight. Lamer. x2
November 29, 200718 yr i find the US Office to be uncomfortable to watch, but i've only been through season 1. i like the UK Office. To me, the 1st season of the US Office is difficult to watch, too. It seemed like they were trying to take that uncomfortable feeling that kept popping up in the UK version and push it further. Starting in the 2nd season, I think they found their own voice, and things hit their stride. The biggest difference is that I felt that David Brent was an ass, but maintained a balance that kept him believable. The only charachter that ever felt a little over the top was Gareth, but Mackenzie Crook did such a good job that he managed to stay just on the right side of the line. In the US version I think Michael is more of a caricature, as are Dwight and Andy. Don't get me wrong, I still adore the US version, but the thing I find lacking, especially when compared the UK version, is it doesn't have that sense of realism.
November 29, 200718 yr the thing i like most about the US version is that I actually slap my head when Michael does the stupid shit he does every episode. on other shows, i'm like, "meh," but with the office, i actually feel bad for everyone else.
November 29, 200718 yr I got a few episodes into Season 2 and just stopped watching due to boredom. If anything, I'll finish Season 2 and see how I feel then.
November 29, 200718 yr Lamer. x3 laxx and reks, you guys should definitely finish the second season. Its definitely an upgrade in every way from the first season.
November 29, 200718 yr Author First season was my favorite (mainly because season two had a ton of drama). The episode in the first season where Michael has "race criticism" day is legendary
November 30, 200718 yr I am having serious Daily Show withdrawl... The Office is probably my favorite show other than TDS, you should really try watching the second season. I gladly watched 18 episodes in a row until 4 am once, and I had already seen all of them! It's that good!
