Anyone have any experience with German tax stamps that could guess how old this is?

The only real telling thing is that it is listed in both Deutsche Mark and Euro

This would not have been done before 1999 - and I would assume not to far after 2002 (when the Euro replaced the currency all together)

Fixed rate since    31 December 1998
Replaced by €, non cash    1 January 1999
Replaced by €, cash    1 January 2002-28 February 2002

The conversion on the stamp is at the fixed rate -  € =    DM 1.95583

I don't know the MO 176 code - looked for it. Could be something for the year (MO) and 176th day. 

 

In some countries like Spain, they kept labelling prices on both currencies for a few years, but I don't think any later than 2005. Old people still keep converting euros into pesetas :juer:

Heh, you are free to use vitola AND marca though cigar snobs that use them are typically annoying I have found

Most snobs are just ridicule. Is there an English word for vitola meaning just that, the tape with the brand name/logo around the cigar? BTW, don't the snobs say "puro" for cigar?

I'm a snob, but I don't talk about my cigars, I just buy them and smoke them.
