1) K1000s: definitely make you look like an alien

2) Stax Lambda series: can anyone say 'radiators'?

Listen to a Sennheiser Surrounder straight out of a Zune, and you'll know you've made it.

OMG, I've never seen anything so...makes we want to sleep on a plane...or perhaps like something out of one of those saw movies..."If you try to escape your partner, then that device will start playing 'One is the Loneliest Number' for all eternity..."

But...does it sound good? Is it anything like a K1000?

AKG K1000 is fugly.

So is the Sennheiser HD515.

And don't forget the toilet bowls.

None of those have anything on the Stax 404

The K1000 are a marvelous in real life. All those pro photos make them look like crap.

My vote goes for the Sennheiser HD600- the marble paint ewww. The SR-404 also looks like someone vomited on it.

trose's entire Beyer collection? I think they merit mention since never has someone had the ability to make a headphone look exactly how they wanted and failed so miserably.

Bling! Bling!

I don't thnik the Senn 600s are that bad. As far as the K1000s,, they may sound good, but for looks they are bleh.

Ding, ding we have a winner. Nate, your super secret decoder ring is in the mail ;).

You know there's a good chance you'll get to see them in person, right? >:D

You'll have to stunt your shades in doors the bling will be so strong.

Though I've seen the one "bling bling" one.

You know, because since I started this thread, I get to be the judge. And nothing I've seen outdoes that Sennheiser Surrounder.

I'll try taking some pics if he shows up at the Boston meet.

I've posted the two biggest atrocities here, although to be perfectly honest it's his sig that pisses me off more than anything. It just screams, "LOOK AT ME, I'M AN ASSHOLE!!!!1!"

EDIT: Reks is my friggen hero!

his sig is doing people a favor, because they only have to read a single one of his posts to know to put him on the ignore list.

darn skippy.

Unfortunately those smart enough to notice are also smart enough to turn sigs off so we don't have to read people's entire life story every post.

gs1000 for me. way to wrong in size and shape as far as looks.

These "Very Modded SR60" Grados might be in the running...

Now, I'm all for DIY and every project takes some time to work out. I was lucky that the first mahogany cups I turned, that are still on my HF-1s, came out great, due in large part to my uncle showing me the ropes with a lathe. But to try and sell these headphones as they stand now, not to mention some of the comments in the FS thread... I'm at a loss for words...
