Kellogg's Corn Flakes

Featured Replies

Is it just me or is this cereal king of them all? I mean, nothing hits the spot at 2am like an XL bowl of cornflakes (not that frosted kind either). I'm pretty serious about cereal and honestly nothing out there has been able to surpass the simple, yet complex, taste of a bowl of cornflakes done properly.

(not that frosted kind either).

You dirty son of a bitch. >:(

What sort of milk are we talking about here?

2% Man.

whoa dude, you need to chill.

Is there a less serious way to say 2%? :D

I question your validity to judge when you're not even using real milk. 2% is like headphones with most of the diaphragm removed, thin and lifeless. Besides, with a giant bowl of Corn Flakes, they're mostly soggy mush by the time you're half way done.

My fave is special K >Frosties >Shredded wheat >Rice crispies. With whole milk and ample sprinklings of sugar on top (except the frosties).

Sorry for being the token hippie, but I don't think it's possible to top Nature's Path Hemp Plus cereal. But it's too expensive so I just eat Frosted Flakes (too sugary), Raisin Bran Crunch (too raisiny), or Corn Pops (lack of flavor) at the dining commons.

I'll have to look into this whole milk

My favourite is this Chocolate Tony the Tiger Frosted Flakes I had years ago when I traveled to Costa Rica. I don't think I saw any of those in Canada before.

Rare Chocolate Tony the Tiger > Normal Tony the Tiger > Vector? (forgot the name) > Rice Crispies, all with homo milk.

This thread reminded me of something. Two weeks ago someone told me they aren't going to sell Capt'n Crunch anymore because it is very unhealthy or something.. atleast in my area. Anyone else heard of this?

Yeah, Corn Flakes hits when nothing else does. Pretty much. There's also some organic varieties that don't have any extra sweetening which are pretty good too. I mean, they use corn syrup as a sweetener for a reason.

i prefer not to have any man in my milk.

heh I chuckled at that. My favourite milk is chocolate milk in a glass bottle now that we're talking about milk. Too bad I can't find a picture.

Whole milk takes cereal to a completely different level.

Precisely my point.

Now, let's hear no more about man-milk, it's making me feel sullied and unusual.

yes, nothing quite hits the spot like whole milk

sadly dairy has been giving me acne breakouts =(

the best alternative i can find is Vitasoy Soy Milky

don't know if you guys have it where you are, but sometimes it almost tastes and feels like real milk

Captain crunch (peanut butter), Honey Smacks, or Lucky Charms (for the marshmallows) are the best-est cereals out! maybe once in awhile i can see cocoa pebbles being up there also...just once in awhile...not all the time

Corn Flakes, Special K, Cheerios & Corn Chex. All with whole milk and no added sugar sprinkled on them.

any honey bunches of oats fans in the thread tonight? I like original the best, but cinnamon is also good. The vanilla kind is NOT good. :(
