July 1, 200917 yr comment_251069 Have any of you downloaded it yet? It handles complex code really well and loads pages fast. I'm really liking it. Report
July 1, 200917 yr comment_251071 Been using it since the first beta came out. It's a substantial improvement over the snails pace of page loading that was firefox 3. Report
July 1, 200917 yr comment_251077 This is the biggest upgrade in browsing speed I've experienced. I'm pleasantly surprised. Report
July 1, 200917 yr comment_251086 much faster indeed! I never seen a change this drastic since the times of mosaic Report
July 1, 200917 yr comment_251091 It's really not that fast overall, compared to say Chrome, Safari 4 or Opera 10. But yeah if firefox 3 is your only comparison point then it's a ton faster. Report
July 1, 200917 yr comment_251097 well, it seems extremely faster in my case as I don't use any other browser Report
July 1, 200917 yr Author comment_251098 Yeah I only use firefox as well so it seems a ton faster to me as well. I didn't like Opera for reasons that I can't remember and chrome still won't scroll up for me with my laptops touchpad for some goofy reason. IE has been simplified to a Wii game level which I don't like. Report
July 1, 200917 yr comment_251101 It pains my fanboy soul to say it, but Safari 4 has been weirdly flaky for me recently and I've been using FF more and more often. Report
July 1, 200917 yr comment_251106 It's really not that fast overall, compared to say Chrome, Safari 4 or Opera 10. But yeah if firefox 3 is your only comparison point then it's a ton faster. really? FF3.5 is faster than Chrome on my Vista laptop and about as fast as Safari 4, I haven't tried Opera 10 yet, but Opera 9.6 is really slow from my experience. Report
July 1, 200917 yr comment_251120 Just installed it. Seems faster than FF3, but not that fast, for your comments I expected the astonishing speed of Chrome, which I don't use for other reasons. Good update anyway, thanks for the heads up. Report
July 1, 200917 yr comment_251166 Am I being obtuse? Where are the installation instructions for Linux? What am I supposed to run, updater? Report
July 1, 200917 yr comment_251174 Am I being obtuse? Where are the installation instructions for Linux? What am I supposed to run, updater? yum preupgrade until you hit F11. Report
July 2, 200917 yr comment_251329 Okay, Billy, now disengage the plugin and speak English. Very corny redhat/fedora joke. Report
July 7, 200917 yr comment_252844 Am I being obtuse? Where are the installation instructions for Linux? What am I supposed to run, updater? Switch to ArchLinux then type "pacman -Sy firefox" Report
July 11, 200917 yr comment_254160 Since upgrading, I have noticed FF3.5 crashes a lot more than 3 (which seldom, if never crashed). It's not a big deal since it reopens all the tabs within seconds. I suspect this is just due to one website which I usually have open. Report
July 11, 200917 yr comment_254172 I had lots of problems with 3 crashing. The problem turned out to be an add-on. Sorry, I can't remember which one it was. I haven't had a single crash since I upgraded to 3.5. You might want to start disabling add-ons to see if one of them is causing the problem. Report
July 11, 200917 yr comment_254175 I have smooth scroll and Adblock Plus. Edited July 11, 200917 yr by deepak Report
July 11, 200917 yr comment_254189 I have neither of them. After thinking more about it, I think it was the Skype add-on that was giving me the problem. Obviously that add-on is not your problem, but you can easily disable your add-ons to see which, if either, is causing your crashes. Report
July 11, 200917 yr comment_254195 FF 3 used to crash when closing for the Spanish spellchecker. No such problem with 3.5, it works very well here. Report
July 12, 200917 yr comment_254364 Just installed it. Seems to be marginally faster and with that new tab button, but other than that I can't really tell what's the difference. Report
July 12, 200917 yr Author comment_254486 One bonus I've noticed with 3.5 is that the spell check seems to work past the 6 mark barrier. With three spell check seemed to stop working once I typed more than a couple of paragraphs. Report
