What TV show are you watching now?
I’ve just finished binge watching Ann Droid. More than entertaining, I’d say.

Finally The Unsung Adventures of Punch Brothers by Punch Brothers (2026) https://open.qobuz.com/album/itmcb0mrpbqud Example: I have been waiting for this since April. Of course I am happy about the addition of Brittany Haas to the crew, being a long term fan. They do plenty of the Punch Brother's alt-folk things. All instrumental this time.

As the tour comes to a close, nice NYT piece on the business side of things. Shame the ASO is so conservative. I would love to see them work to grow the sport. https://www.nytimes.com/2026/07/24/business/tour-de-france-amaury-aso.html?unlocked_article_code=1.0VA.bUGg.jEXh-T33IBhx&smid=url-share- The Quest for >2000 Vppss
there were no output caps on the switchers. there is a input cap, not labeled, 47 uf tantalum 30 volt is what goes in that spot. or anything else that fits.- What are you listening to Part the Third
Python Script Remix Vol.10 - Sonic Youth “This mix is part of our "Python Script Remix" ongoing series. Process : 1. First we made a parallel mix of the 13 tracks from Sonic Youth's album "Goodbye 20th Century" (released in 1999 on Sonic Youth Records). 2. Then we applied various effects to the mix through a Python script, such as a subtle pitch shift with extended feedback, a slow time-stretch with noise-heavy textures, a slow spectral feedback, a smooth saturation with harmonic enhancement, a natural high-pass filter, a wide low-pass filter, a soft EQ, a slow spatialization with noise-based trajectories, a transparent limiter and a fade out. This remix is conceived as a spectral extension of "Goodbye 20th Century", it is a work of amplification, stretching, densification, and slow spatialization, yet without altering the original aesthetic.”- The Quest for >2000 Vppss
I ended up switching back to the 5pF capacitor. With 470pF, the nearby STN9360 starts behaving incorrectly, so something in my implementation clearly doesn't like that value. I replaced the output capacitors on the switching supply with four 0.1µF/50V MLCCs, just as Kevin suggested. After doing that, the ripple on O+ and O− at around 120kHz dropped to roughly 96kHz. At this point it seems like the tiny residual hiss may actually be related to the switching supply rather than the amplifier itself. What I'm not sure about is whether a 120kHz switching component could somehow be demodulated or otherwise make its way into the audible band.- Post what you're watching
Just finished watching. Entertaining.- Songs You Came Across On Some Streaming Service And Thought Your Head-Case Buds Might Enjoy Too. No Critical Endorsement Implied. Fuck Vevo etc.

I'm looking forward to those as I'm slowly working on my own version just for me, i.e. fixing how they sound. :) I got these recently: https://poloyoaudio.store/products/hongshu-eh1 It is my third one of these as they design has been maturing over the years. I'm waiting on a replacement set as mine had some noise issues in one driver so I'll do a proper write up as they arrive but I do like them a lot. The earpads are crap but there is a lot of potential there.- The Headcase Stax thread

Agreed on all accounts.- The Quest for >2000 Vppss
Been a while since I built it, but I had the 470pF from the start and didn't notice any drift/rise in output voltage. Can have a look this weekend, was going to open it up and swap to a new trafo anyway.- And now what did you do TODAY?

You'd better hurry, as Sunday is the last day, and this weekend is the Marathon which will make things interesting. I'll have to see if we can fit in a visit to see Boom and Bust before it's last day on August 2nd!- What are you listening to Part the Third
Here’s one of my secrets - I’ll take Coltrane and Bill Evans over Miles Davis any day. That’s probably little to do with the artists, but damn is this album great (the cover art is not)- And now what did you do TODAY?
Can’t wait. Did you also see the Boom and Bust photo exhibit? If so, how was it?- Last week
