  2. This is the best worst thing you'll see today. In 1989, the Stone Roses blew the fuck up and became a household name in their native England overnight. They appeared on national television: "Made of Stone" is one of their most emotional tracks. I've been a fan of it since I got their debut album in the very early 90s. Seeing them perform it live in their prime would be amazing. They're not lip syncing. Score! Oh wow, they're doing a rendition much slower than the album version. This is going to be great ....oh shit. (There's a reason the video is only 2 1/2 minutes long.) Also the 1080p upscaling is ass, but that's a small matter.

  5. RIP Glen. I've always found you to be intense but and amazing artist.
  6. RIP Glen Hansard 😓 56, motorcycle accident.
  7. Glad you and Debbie are OK Mike. I saw the news had reported 4 tornados in the Chicago suburbs. Stay safe my friend.
  8. Wow! Really glad you are all safe. Our only brush with destruction on that scale in the UK was the hurricane that supposedly wasn't. On the BBC weather forecaster called Michael Fish said: "A few hours before the Great Storm of 1987 broke, on 15 October 1987, Fish said during a televised weather forecast: "Earlier on today, apparently, a woman rang the BBC and said she heard there was a hurricane on the way. Well, if you're watching, don't worry, there isn't!" When it hit, the severity of the storm, which was in fact the worst to hit South East England for three centuries, caused record damage and killed 19 people. 13. Rick sitting down with a couple of kids. Looking forward to the release this week.
  14. Visited the Lowell [MA] Folk Festival this weekend. Good food, good music, and fun to people-watch. Caught some Vocal Harmony group, Bluegrass/string, Zydeco, Haitian drummers & dancers, and - my favorite - some Tuvan musicians doing throat-singing. In the last pic, the two young ladies in front of me were loving the Tuvan singing, they kept smiling and looking at each other, I could see one mouth "Wow" several times.
  15. We watched 100+ MPH winds blow through Monee yesterday. It was not fun. Here's some pics from our block and our main fire station.
