Headphones

I've heard both but not at the same time and the times were too far apart, hence my own experience fails. Anyone else heard these and compared them? Normally I'd just go ahead and buy an SA5000 to find out but funds are running pretty low for me right now, was wondering how much percentage of the Qualia the SA5000 offers. I love the Qualia but it's an awful lot of money to keep to one headphone.

Im looking at getting a new set of headphones for my father for drumming. He has explained to me in the past that a particular type of headphones were able to adjust left and right ear volume and that helped him distinguish the drums from certain songs. Since good headphones dont seem to have this feature, i thought about using a equalizer or something of that nature. What would i need audio wise to make the drums in a song stand out?

Now it shouldn't come as a massive shock to anybody but I'm not much of a SR-009 fan. From day 1 they always sounded messed up to me and the BK and S didn't really make it any better, even a bit worse with the 009S. To this day I have only one 009BK (as it is a limited edition) in my collection and one regular 009 that showed up here randomly and was a stark improvement over all the other sets I've owned. Well my new woody SR-200's arrived today (thanks again Juan). So far I'm pleasantly surprised, they have a pretty warm sonic signature and have much more bass than I was expecting. Here's a few pics (note these do not have hp1000 drivers):

Hi Guys, I've not touched my ambitious β22 build in ~7-8-months due to lack of time. It's very close to being working, but a fair amount of work to do to complete it.
