Recently a distant friend grabbed a few of this pot, called bi p260p, made by plastic，sounds like some common Brit stuff. seems nothing special at all. But lol, I gotta lol first, P&G is OEM by this company... Actually, P&G is the cherry-picked version of this pot, the tolerance of this pot is 10% (means channel unbalance), we could just pick 10 of these, and select them by ourselves. I really don't like the screw terminal blocks much, so I was going to use PCB headers/wire mounted connectors for a couple of projects. I need something in 5.08mm (0.200") or close, and the only ones I have come up with so far are the Hirose HF5 series at Digikey (http://www.hirose.co.jp/cataloge_hp/e67600011.pdf, or the Molex SPOX series at Mouser View List I want something where it is foolproof to take apart and put back together. I need connectors of 2, 3, 4, 6 and 8 pins. Digikey has everything I need. Mouser has everything EXCEPT the 8 pin header (they carry the 8 pin connector... not sure why?). Hello, I have a Cavalli CTH amp that I built about 8-9 years ago. During that time I tinkered with it and had to rebuild parts of it once or twice, and then again rewired it and installed a new volume pot. Long story short, I burned out the input ground (IG) connection on the board. I was able to get it to connect to some degree, or so I though, but recently when trying to bring it back to life it came off again. I wanted to ask advice on how I might go about repairing this. The IG seems isolated from rest of the board, so am wondering if I can just install a isolated nylon spacer on the chassis and put a metal screw on it, run IG wire to that. IG currently is connec…

The mains cable (crappy 2-wire zip cord) on my SRD-Pro is a bit old and warn, and seems way too long. I would like to replace it with something that's of better quality. Of all the better (google results) power cable I've seen, it's all three wire, some shielded and some not. One article on Belden's three-wire shielded (#83803) mention constructing so that at the plug end, the shield wrap and the the ground wire are connected to the wall plug. At the component end, leave the shield floating; use the shield to capture interference traveling through the cable (in or out) and to ground them to earth so they do not cause any unwanted noise. Recommend me any and all good DIY speaker resources. I would like to clone an omni -- specifically, the Pioneer CS-06 looks right up my alley. The point in cloning is not just to cut costs, but also because I've heard its sound is suboptimal, and also for fun and education. I'm thinking for starters, I'll want to compartmentalize all the drivers. See, for example, the pictures on this page (about second or third row down). I've already tracked down schematics and a service manual, but I'm thinking of changing the drivers, so I'd have to re-evaluate the crossovers anyway, right? How do I fight the natural resonance of most drivers?

I have have an old Dynalo power supply that I never got working properly, but I'll make another attempt. It's headamp.com PCB layout and I've used the parts list that was suggested at that time, except for the 5 uF caps. The suggest 5 uF caps were Epassives MKS4475J63-6, but I don't think these are available anymore. Instead I used Solen caps. Maybe that was the problem. Anyone here built the Dynalo power supply and could share a parts list? In particular, info on the 5 uF caps would be helpful. I'll also try some high slew rate caps. Hi guys I opened my 313 to see what was needed and as you know there are two sets of RCA inputs but one is supposed to be a "Tape out" They are paralleled and have two little resistors between the connectors. What are these for? can anyone post a pic if they rewired to better chasis mount RCA inputs? Thanks

I did a front panel and i want to order a case with it. I opened the order program and selected the Housing Profile 1. It only allows me to define the length. Does that mean FPE will follow the width and height of my front panel? Is that the true price of the casing? Anyone tell me how to get the case? I'm exploring my options. I have lots of solid wood and i was thinking of casing my b22 with it but im worried about the heat dissipation. I've been putting the casework off for a long time and i want to finish it before the bijou comes.

Saw some talk about this and decided to make a new version. use either the tube unbal/bal to bal board, or the solid state version result is about 125 watts rms into 8 ohms at thd of .005% will definitely drive 4 ohms with suitably large power supplies. transistors are standard pinout, so pick your favorite output transistors. the to220 transistors are mje15034/mje15035 perfect for so many things, including esl boost transformers. pioneera09.pdf

I was looking for sth DC coupled hybrid power amp for desktop speaker with no caps or transformers on either input or output. While searching on google, I wanted to find jfet/tube differential, tube voltage gain, MOSFET/BJT current gain design. Are the connectors Etymotic uses to attach the cables to the pods of the ER4 custom? I'm thinking of building a cable for them and would hate to splice the original connectors.

Hey guys, I need to put together a wallwart for a project I'm working on. Is there any place that sells empty wallwarts you can put your own traffo in? I'm looking to get a 24-36vac center-tapped output. Any suggestions on a plug with three contacts to use for it, also? -edit- found an empty shell and a suitable traffo at jameco. Any ideas on a plug?

As many of you know, APL is being flaky as ever so I might as well keep my 3910 since it works well for my needs and sounds pretty good. I do have two major problems with it though, first of it is 117V only and the second, it is not silver. The solution for the latter is pretty simple, I just bought a Japanese 3910 for very little money (which are champagne colored) so I'll just move all the trim parts over and gain a replacement drive too boot. That player hasn't arrived yet so I'll tackle it at a later date. As for the issue of 117V, well an outside step down transformer is just a pain so why not try to mount one internally?
