  1. Well the dynamo wheelset has been delayed as the shop tried to slip in the 490gm Blunts in place of the 420gm Blunt SLs that I chose. Not a huge difference but I am not trying to make this bike any heavier than it already is. I might just go pick everything up tonight and take it all to Chris' shop and give up on Freshbikes altogether. Really thinking about doing some MTBing this weekend up at Schaeffer Farms to go easy my first time on the bike in a long while.
  2. I should make time for a ride this weekend
  3. Finally, a new headphone of actual interest to me. Fostex have been in the ortho game for decades, unlike everyone else currently on the market. I hope they have put all that experience and knowledge into practice.

^That there is the problem. You probably need 2000 days of burn in...

And here's the issue, to some degree. Everyone here has owned (or at least heard) every notable thing AKG has ever made. K1000, K340, K240, K701, etc. I even have a K81DJ, which was first heralded as "the closed Grado". We know the lineup, and for the most part don't care about anything but the 340/240 and the K1000, all of which are out of production. There's nothing wrong with your journey through headphones, we all made one more or less in public, but this is a tough place to grow up. If you want to stay, be warned that anything related to your "kopfhörersroman" (You are welcome, Dusty) will be met with some skepticism. Also, the notion of burn in is total bullshit.
  7. I don't know, they look exactly the same to me. The headphones, that is.
  8. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cACPQaA6xQ4 You know when I see those two twins on that Doublemint commercial… I ain’t thinking about gum. Bill Hicks
  9. I decided to try something new for the next round of HV's: I like the "black line" look and it will fit with the next batch of amps using some exciting transistors.
  10. apple not including a 1/8" jack on a hypothetical device isn't killing anything off.

  12. Pan seared Scallops with vermouth sauce and fresh chives from the garden. Yummy. Not pictured: brocollini with olive oil and rosemary salt, ciabatta from the local bread shop.

  16. Baseball, the sport where the statistics about the game are more exciting than the game.
  17. Seriously? Guys standing around for most of three hours is interesting? (I kid).... I do love baseball though. You can fall asleep in the bottom of the second, wake up in the top of the eighth and still have an hour's worth of game to watch.
  18. I was thinking of darts. It's fun enough to do but terribly boring to watch.
  19. So cruel, Stretch...... Question: "Why do you hang around with that sadist?" Answer: "Beats me....."
  20. I like the way Larry changed his name for the wanted ad.
  21. "Jap retail"? You left a couple of letters off, Hungarian Archie Bunker.
