I finished my KGST recently. The fit was pretty tight in this 2U/330mm/280mm case. Had to reduce the 1.5kOhm resistor to get the offset to 0V though. Spritzer did mention a case this small would need a lot of ventilation, so I went with a pretty open top cover. Dead silent operation too.

My wine dinner meal First course is a potato dumpling with a lemon mustard reduction secret sauce and lots of other veggies and tasty parts Pork belly with watermelon, sriracha mustard sauce sesame bean sprouts and magic mushrooms. A brief respite with heirloom tomato topped with a soft goat cheese and a basil sorbet and a exotic onion ring of some type and origin. As you can guess I am getting hammered at this point and have been drinking a lot of wine. (duh) Time to recalibrate the palate for the last lap. Duck breast with a port reduction, chives, mashed sweet potato and broccoli and the blessings of the angels. At this point I have no fucking idea what this was but it was kick ass good! Oh, the wine did not suck, I recommend you try them or convince your friends to buy them and drink theirs. G'night.

Yea, the modushop case is what I used. I used 6mm standoffs for the boards too, so the tubes don't really stick out of their openings. You could probably get away without dedicated holes if you select short tubes.

i havent found AC in the umbilical to make any difference. the impedance of the power supply lines is too low. if i needed at least 2,000 feet of cable, i would get custom cable made with the wires for the AC heaters twisted and shielded

I'm one of those morons who know that on ABX blind testing won't tell a 320 from a FLAC most of the times, maybe just with very complex, very well known staff would, but somehow I feel tired soon when listening to lossy music on a good system. On a portable with average IEMs it really doesn't matter. Looks like I'll have to investigate Wimp

Thanks to an ickStream beta that's gone live, I can now get Tidal as an input to the squeezebox ecosystem. So now listening to gapless, lossless, synced multi-room new album goodness, streamed from the cloud, controlled by iPeng, because: technology!
