We got Alden the Lenovo Y50 with the new 4K screen and the specs below. He likes it because he can crank up everything he plays to full resolution, but we like it because it is a solid work laptop too. Thanks to everyone who chipped in for this! I made my goal, and went in the ocean. It was cold. Drying off was actually painful. Once I got dried off I realized I was not really all that cold. Then I went in the water again.

My wife and I completely rearranged our family room area where the setup is, and we were actually able to integrate the speakers and tv together. I've got the oppo feeding the Doug DAC feeding the Dsha 0 feeding the First time I've ever had something that resembled an actual listening space. We watched a few blurays, some netflix, and now on to some football, and the stealths can definitely serve as HT mains. Huge dynamic swings, never breaks a sweat when asked to push, and that bass though.

My niece really loves her new Chromebook. It also looks really nice (like a real laptop).

Why aren't you buying both, using the used one, and saving the new one as backup, or to deepak down the road? **BRENT**

I've been drawing up some panels recently, figured some others might be interested. Still have to triple check things, but I'm pretty sure I have all the critical measurements right. Some folks have expressed interest in another small board run, but not quite enough though. I'd like to avoid fronting the money myself & selling extras later if possible. So unless someone has a boardset (amp v1.07/psu v1.15) they'd be willing to sell I'll have to figure out what to do about PCBs later. Anyway, would anyone be interested in some quad RK50's? onlinecomponents.com has a decent discount on them if at least 5 are ordered.

Might be worth thinking about sizing the holes in the pcb for some sort of vibration isolating grommet. It'd have the dual benefit of isolation nd lowering the stress at the mounting point.

I hope for a meaningful recovery Larry. I don't know you but I kind of remember reading somewhere you have had a lung transplant in the past, which means you are as tough as nails. I hope for better days ahead for you and your family.

A good friend had people over for a NYE party last night. He used to run a pizza kitchen, so he hand made all the crusts and we had a couple hours of pizza after pizza to try out. I'm hoping Honda has it right out-of-the-box as well Steve. I've been a Ferrari fan forever but I think this year may change that if Alonso has a good car. Ferrari with Vettel may be interesting but if the team struggles I fear he will have another year like 2014. It's my opinion that if Seb doesn't have a top notch car he is not a top notch driver. And with him and Kimi at Ferrari, I don't see a lot of development work taking place. I hope I am wrong, but fear that I'm not. I hope McLaren and Williams can run with the Merc's in 2015 so we have an exciting season to follow.

Well, that's annoying, but at least it hopefully means it'll be done right/better.....

I want a D750 bad. I may list my current gear for sale on FM and see if I can somehow justify it.

I'm hoping to leverage the success of the article into a follow along that allows me to sample on or two, higher end models but I'm already working on two other pieces so it's going to be a while before I get to anything like that.
