I've pretty much shifted back over to google play music. i do think tidal sounds better but technical issues with the android app are driving me away. particularly I can rarely resume a track after pausing. It will either start the track over or the whole app crashes. Crashing is certainly less then it used to be overall, so points to them for improvement, but for listening at work, where I do 95% of my streaming, google play is just more usable. And do I really need the higher fidelity when I'm listening to Kendrick Lamar and messing around with a spreadsheet?

So, we follow a show on PBS called "A Chef's Life." It's about a woman and her husband who run two restaurants in Kinston, N.C. Last night we visited their oyster bar, The Boiler Room. First up, the gentleman pictured is shucking my fresh oysters. Said oysters There were two more oyster dishes were consumed. Their take on a Rockefeller and a spicy offering where the oyster is served on a pork rind with a hot sauce and slice of jalapeño. No pics as they disappeared too quickly. Sorry. They were delicious. We also had a roasted corn, tomato and kale salad. Very clean and refreshing. On to burgers. Debbie had a veggie Butterbean burger. Mine was a surf & turf burger with popcorn oysters and a jalapeño mayo. Seen below. With that, a tip of the hat to Hot Doug, an order of beef fat fries. Not duck. What looks like cheese on these is actually powdered beef tallow. They explained it keeps down the greasiness. All was excellent. Also not pictured is Debbie's bread pudding. I only ever post in this thread to complain. Today I disturbed a bee's nest with my weed whacker. I found that I, as a paunchy and out of shape 40something, can run a fuck of a lot faster than I thought I could while carrying a fairly heavy piece of power equipment and screaming "OH SHIT! OH SHIT!" at the top of my lungs. Neighbors will continue to think I'm insane, I imagine. I'm actually quite lucky. I only got stung 3-4 times, and I'm not allergic to bee stings. Still hurts like and MFer, though. I have to keep working in that area of the property, so I went out later and surveyed the area. I know basically where the nest is, so I can avoid it in the future.

Looking forward to the second season of Gotham tonight.

From what I've read at pricenfees is that the ipod touch battery life should last longer simply because there is no cellular service, which requires quite a bit of battery to continuously power.
