  1. Met up with an old college friend for the first time in 25 years. He was the same super chill guy I remember but has done well and seems really happy. It was nice. [emoji846] (We had proper Dover soles, grilled, on the bone, with brown butter. They were nice.)

  3. Typical Crappy bullshit. You didn't say ANY of this shit in your titillating posts. You just had pics with names or references to bio info about "these women." Even when Antonio made a joke about how you were able to take these pervy boudoir photos you didn't explain it. You just wanted to show off the fact that some hot women let you take girly pics of them. You didn't say they knew and approved of you posting their pics in a public forum. You didn't say that they had aspirations of becoming models. You didn't say anything to justify your holier than thou bullshit about Chris being offensive, which he wasn't. It was perfectly understandable for Chris to think you were doing something stupid or obnoxious because you didn't offer any of this context or explain that the subjects knew you were showing images that are typically shared with a spouse or partner exclusively. I normally just ignore you and didn't say what Chris did even though I thought the same thing, and worse. I can't wait for you to say you're not sure what you ever did to piss me off, but I guess you won't now...

  4. I bought this on an Amazon sale. I love struggling with the puzzles even if they occasionally (often) make me feel like an idiot.

  5. Oh, and I cant know anything about anyone's motivations from a couple of posts. And I can't read minds. As Anne says, she used to be worried about that, but now that she knows me, she knows there's pretty much an empty humming noise running through my head most of the time. (Not the tinnitus!)

  6. I echo what Antonio said. I'd add that I think there is a lot of history with CJ that occurred before I became active here. So I'm not privy to that, but it does seem to affect a lot of the perceptions of his posts. Not saying that it shouldn't, only that I don't fully understand all of the angry reactions. I do appreciate viewing attractive women as art. But also suspect that Anne would roll her eyes if she saw me looking at those, and I would understand why she would. But I don't think she'd be offended. Just rolling her eyes, and saying something like, 'headphones, huh?' 'Oh brother ' She looks at plenty of pics of Brad Pitt and George Clooney and such. And I roll my eyes. Whatever it was in the past with CJ, I hope that CJ can get what it is that bothers so many here who to me, have pretty darn good judgement. And that those with good judgement would give him a chance to change and acknowledge it when/if he does. People do mature, grow, change over time. I suspect by the reactions, that there hasn't been much to acknowledge at this point?

  7. I have nothing important to say, I'm no one to scold anyone in here. To my understanding there's something escaping my knowledge in this interaction. The pictures seem OK to me, but if they may be offensive to some members, it costs nothing to protect them with the spoiler or NSFW tags. As far as I remember, Knuckles does that when nudity is blatant. I'd be concerned if the pics were posted without the models knowledge, but I think it's fine if they want to pose like that and give their permission to be publicly exposed. They'll have their reasons and I don't think they are considering themselves like objects or toys for doing so. Nude human bodies may look like beautiful objects, like statues or gorgeous animals, or trees, the line between obscenity and beauty rests in the photographer, the model and the observer too. I don't find those pics obscene, yet nor really a work of art either, but nice to look at.

  8. Oh please. The double standard here is so blatantly obvious it is absurd. The slower forum thread is of full of images of actually naked women and not once has Dan or anyone else, to my knowledge, been asked to use spoiler tags to hide pictures of naked women. Please don't insult me by saying that that is the appropriate forum for it - if posting pictures like these is demeaning to women, then it is demeaning in all parts of this website. I realize it is easy to pile on to someone when they are already getting dumped on - that takes no courage as the mob provides it and while you are entitled to your opinions, please don't ask me to censor myself to suit your sensibilities. Last I checked it was a free country and I am a legal US citizen. I would understand if I were posting something universally inappropriate like a video of a murder or something but the Victoria's Secret Fashion Show is on national tv tonight. Millions of people will be watching. It's time to evolve your thinking to beyond the middle ages. If you don't like the content, feel free to not look. If you find my content in particular to be offensive, feel free to ignore my posts, as Al does - I don't mind. Calling essentially anyone who models in lingerie strippers or doing the picture equivalent of soft core porn is not just offensive and a puritanical way of thinking but point blank stupid. I come from one of the most sexually oppressed and backward societies in the world and even I didn't treat my colleagues as though they were strippers. The fact that any normal adult would think that is mind numbing. Why not chastise those who enjoyed looking at the images while you are at it? Surely, consumption of soft core porn and looking at strippers is equally bad as being a stripper or creating soft core porn to the prudish mind. I'll wait for your post scolding tall man, John, Ari, and Antonio.

  10. Ugh! No! Mold == bad. Mold == death. Me: Been binging on M R Forbes -- totally dig. Mostly the Magic and Bones series -- urban fantasy, but a bit more morbid due to the necromancer angle -- Dusty like. Finished that series, started the bleeding eye series (or whatever it's called). He ...uh... is not afraid to kill characters. I'm talking, one per book, serious shiznit. Sometimes more than one. He's not quite George R R Martin bad, but...in some ways, he's worse.

  11. Right. You've posted lots of pics of women posing in lingerie and naked in beds. It's just like any other day. No need to act any differently. I'm going back to ignoring you now.

  15. "These women" spend 8-13 hours each day in the hospital on rotations and, without fail, go to the gym/cross fit for 2 hours every day. They excel at academia and have well rounded lives. What's wrong with having aspirations for both becoming a physician, and a model? Why must we limit people into this box where they should only be doing one thing even if they are good at other things? Quite honestly it's an offensive statement to make. I know I will never be some great photographer but am I to stop taking pictures or sharing them publicly because I am in med school? And if there's a double standard for me being able to do it because I'm a guy and they not being able to do it because they are girls then it's doubly offensive. With the amount of hard work they put into looking the way they do, I am not surprised that they wanted boudoir style images - I didn't ask the reason as it is none of my business (did ask for permission before sharing them publicly). Their social media pages are full of images in work out clothes which cover basically the same % of their body if the clothing is a concern. As for the matter of context, they walked away happier and more confident of themselves ("no way I look like that!") so I certainly didn't mind shooting them in a room in a bed instead of at the gym. You'd be surprised that even women who look like that have insecurities about themselves for many reasons most of which have nothing to do with their bodies. If a shoot like this can get them over that mental block, I don't see any harm in it not that I see any harm in doing a boudoir shoot for no reason in particular. No fundraisers on my end. 2 friends asked me to take pictures. I obliged. Nothing more to it. John, we practiced blood pressures 2 years ago it's amazing how comfortable my classmates and people in general get around me once they realize I have a lovely girlfriend and absolutely no intentions do anything to jeopardize my relationship with her.

  16. So this wound up being kind of funny. I checked everything, and I mean every part of that side. Used multimeter resistance mode on the transistors to double check them and compared values to the good side. Everything matched up. All the top trace stuff to ground went to ground. All terminals were fine with or without wires screwed in. The couple little bridge traces were fine. So left with nothing else, I went trace short hunting systematically, every point to every other point. Then I finally found the culprit. The last time I had replaced the 10m90s for that rail, the solder pad for one leg lifted up just a hair and I had pushed it back down and soldered everything up fine. But moving the board around must have snapped it somehow, or maybe it happened when I double checked the tightness of the screws on the heatsinks. What it left me with was a shorted trace that you couldn't see at all under even magnification. Ridiculous. Took less than half a minute to remove the busted loose pad, score a bit of the trace down to copper, tin it, bend the cut lead over it and solder it properly. Then everything fired up, just as it should.

  17. Honestly I don't really understand why these women are taking these photos. I have never had a body like they do but even then I doubt I would unless I wanted to be a model but they are med students. If they are/were for significant others then I would make damn sure they were private not just to be posted anywhere by the photographer. You making a fundraising calendar or something?
