Fired up my Carbon last night. Adjusted the current to 20mA but back down to 16mA at the moment as I'm afraid that my transformer can't stand it. Being lazy, I utilize the power supply and chassis from my KGSSHV. So I should consider it as an upgrade. I'll buy a new transformer and adjust the current to 20mA later. The amp is running at 450V. Even at 16mA I can feel that it's running a lot hotter than my previous KGSSHV. The amp sounds wonderful. Thanks Kevin for sharing this wonderful amp design.

Finally read (and mostly listened to the audio book of) Anathem. I wish I'd dug in long ago, it was an interesting trip.

24/96 is fine with me since no one has ever convinced me that they can hear a difference between 16/44 and 24/anything.

Indeed, a really nice upgrade! I use old chassis for new boards. I even desolder components and move them to the new version/board. That way I keep number of amplifiers constant, an agreement with my partner.

These incidents just keep piling up on top of each other, with no time in between to catch your breath. It's a frightening time for sure. I can't imagine growing up with this being "the norm". RIP Nice victims.

Our sales guys use Surface exclusively. They dock them to larger displays and keyboard/mouse when in the office. We have had zero complaints. They are pretty awesome. They have the i7, 8GB RAM version.
