The laser has been successfully tested with logos from work.
Each of those is about 2" across so the level of detail that can be achieved is (at least in my opinion) impressive.
Started feeling a lot better. I’m not completely better, but I’m no longer a mucus and phlegm generating machine set to full tilt. So I went out for a bit and did some errands. Didn’t embarrass myself by sneezing a handful of snot into my hand. You may think it’s funny
Dremel DigiLab LC40. Not cheap ($6k) but work needed something UL rated that wouldn't let people kill/blind themselves.

As an update;
I've been using my i9 iMac since July and it has been a dream come true for me.
More than twice as capable than my 2012 Cheese Grater 6 core/48G ram.
The 27 inch 5k display with the Pro Vega 48 graphics still catches me staring at high rez images just for the heck of it.
A while back I was doing some articulation template (a Logic thing) testing and I had 500 software instrument tracks open in Logic.
The fan is super quiet so I never know when it's running.
Couldn't be happier!
Just finished The Golden Compass, Book 1. I'm ready to start the HBO series now!
I enjoyed reading it, but I'm not sure I liked it as much as others seem to. Pullman strikes me as a decent writer, but coming off reading Ursula Le Guin his prose just isn't in her league. To be fair, few authors write as beautifully as she does.
So many people seem to LOVE this series. I'll start in on book 2 and see if it hooks me more.
