  1. We just got back from Disney and... we couldn't miss the photo of our idol: And some boys wanted to take some cool photos with Ale.

  2. I used the aforementioned ping pong table to do a test inlay. Worked out very well, onto actually using it on something.

  3. I do prefer them. Stats do that ethereal hyper detailed thing, it’s an impressive and addictive listen, whilst the DCA Expanse is understated in presentation, neutral to a fault. I prefer the realism from the DCA, its faithfulness to the recording without imposing. Another aspect is how well they match with my Chord Mojo 2 / Chord Poly, having portably this good is just incredible. For me the penultimate Stat proposition no longer makes much sense.

  6. Thought this would be appropriate, since it's been 70 years... curtana (kɜːˈtɑːnə) in British English noun: the unpointed sword carried before an English sovereign at a coronation as an emblem of mercy from Anglo-Latin, from Old French cortain, the name of Roland's sword, which was broken at the point, ultimately from Latin curtus (short) To Microsoft: Hey, curtana...

  7. I thought that was going to be a post about another autocross event, but when I realized what it was I thought that combining the two events could be cool. Illegal and dangerous, but cool. 😎

  8. Did the “SF Stair Challenge,” a walk around San Francisco put on by a neighborhood advocacy group to promote making the City more walkable. This is a very cool route. I’d recommend it to anyone who wants to explore some of the hills of the northern part of the City. https://abc7news.com/sf-stair-challenge-walk-san-francisco-what-to-do-best-walks/13181267/

  9. Yep, it seems to work. So far so good. No heat problems. Current set to 1.5A and when filament voltage reaches 3.7V solid state relay closes.

  12. Had a picnic, in Belvedere Park with some of Joannes ex colleagues, one of whom now works in finance for the City of Belvedere, which isn't as relaxing as you might imagine, when questions on the state of the accounts from local residents include those from the ex Head of The World Bank. Following that, we had a leisurely stroll Around Belvedere , where we took in views of. Angel Island. The City (SF) shrouded in Fog. Likewise, The Golden Gate Bridge Fog rolling over the hills into Sausalito . And of course, Mt. Tam. A very pleasant afternoon.

  14. This thread goes dormant for too long. Winter has finally (sort of) arrived here in NH. We got enough so along with the rain to create some pretty rideable conditions. Had a blast out there for an hour or so today.

  15. Another CFA is alive and well. Sorted out the issue with the bias when using the SS/ZF switch by doing the following (board rev 1.2): - Remove the 4 ZF jumpers near the 600pF - Increase R44/R49 to 50K - Increase R50/R51 to 4.2K - Remove C9/C10 Set at 190mA, plays beautifly in both modes. A must-have as reference in the amp collection. Thanks to KG for developing this amazing circuit!
