  3. Made some QOL adjustments to the bomb shelter/home office. It's seen some use these past few days and my wife and daughter were getting tired of sitting on the ground while I luxuriated in a herman miller desk chair.

  7. i don't remember. definitely can add 1 wire and not use it in shunt mode.

  8. Will the 5V LT1021 work in shunt mode? I didn't think it did? Kerry posted a design using a MAX6138 reference which would do 5V back in 2018:

  10. you are going to need to change the lt1021 to the 5v version and recalculate the resistor ratio. 3v across the current source is not enough for it to work properly. even 5 volts is cutting it close. the minimum tested voltage for this design is 12v output.

  11. Sorry, I'm doing changes to my toy room and I haven't been able to connect. I have some Casiopea cds but I like more things by Fumio Nanri, Tsuyoshi Yamamoto, Isao Suzuki, Toru "Tiger" Okoshi... closer to "classical" Jazz, bebop, etc... one of my latest discoveries was Takashi Matsunaga Trio, great pianist IHO. Another interesting thing is that their recordings sound very well make. I have several Japanese editions on XRCD (does anyone remember this?), Mofi, remasters, etc...

  12. One of mine as well. There's sort of a Discord server devoted to it, but all they care about is Casiopea and T-Square. Are you fond of "City Pop"? Lamp, etc.? But I digress. All I know is Casiopea, T-Square/The Square/3rd Square and related, Hiromi, and Nucleus (Alleycat, etc.). Wouldn't mind some recommendations.

  13. The idea is to populate the five 0805 pads according to the table. disclaimer: if things blow up don't blame me. Edit: Intention is to have a board compatible with the three tube types. When building the amplifier you decide for which tube. So, no "tube type rolling" here. Edit: Table changed.

  16. A good smoked turkey is hard to beat, especially when brined and managed properly. A good fried turkey is hard to beat as well, but I have found it's very easy to miss the mark and more so than I assumed initially given the "frying". We'll do ~35 turkeys for the "neighborhood" the day before thanksgiving and one of them will be mine. I always have a backup now...LOL, and last year it was a smoked one. I don't fry the turkeys...I just smoke the ribs...at least 9 racks of oversized Costco "baby backs". It's a bit much keeping them cooking evenly, but with a goodly amount of beverages flowing...first world problems! HS

  19. Why does this stupid track rock so hard? I have it stuck in my head. I guess it is Joe Cocker's backing group laying down the rhythm. Might have to find more of their stuff. I know people love to dunk on Andrew Lloyd Webber but damn the man has composed some catchy tunes.
