  1. Documentary Inspired. (thx ric) Roxy Music by Roxy Music (1972) https://album.link/i/724922081 Example: I had an idea of Roxy - but it was not this. I remember the polished 80s Avalon (more in my era, and way past the Eno version). But I really like this eclectic and more raw version of their musical ideas at the time.
  2. Also inspired by the documentary: Brian Eno - Before and After Science
  3. Right, so let's say Donny ends this - by giving in to Russian demands and giving them land concessions and blocking Ukraine from EU/Nato membership. How is that going to be seen in any way but a Western loss? How will this discourage Putin from going further? Already Georgia has a pro-Russian puppet government and brewing civic unrest, and have we already forgotten what happened there in 2008? It's a shit sandwitch any way you slice it. Keep the war going, more people die. End the war, Putin gets a dub, the West gets an L on its record, while Putin starts another conflict and more people die. Those are your choices, folks, and I fail to see how the Very Stable Genius makes this any better.
  4. And then there is this.
  5. From Zero by Linkin Park (2024) https://album.link/i/1766137049 Example: I thought I should listen to this while it was still in the zeitgeist. I was looking for some new music here and it is there (like the example). I am more interested in a 2024 sound for them than rehashing a 2003 sound. A tight 31 minute album with some bangers. Well done.
  6. Regarding your last statement, Trump was the one who initiated the agreement with the Taliban for the US to withdraw by May 2021: https://www.axios.com/2021/08/20/trump-taliban-agreement-doha-biden Art of the deal my ass...
  7. I'll bite my tongue and just disagree strongly.
  8. A little more on the PG side of life. The Curtis Family C-notes weekly rehearsal. And for any Bay Area peeps that dig it, they play locally around the area. Checking out: https://album.link/i/1757976285
  9. From the man who brought us the world's fastest trashcan.
  10. OK, I know that he doesn't visit here and most likely won't see this, but I was struck by the fact that he turns 39 today. In a funny way Duggeh started the whole headphone stand business that I was once involved in. He had a pair of Jecklin headphones, and posted that he was worried they'd get scratches by just setting them on his desk. So without any instruction from him I went out to my shop, found some scrap wood, and built my first headphone stand. I messaged him that I had something that I'd like to send him. He gave me his address and I shipped it off to Scotland. Upon arrival I guess that he was pretty surprised and pretty happy. He made a very lengthy post, with pictures, and that was the start of my headphone stand business. I immediately had messages rolling in. I think that I built somewhere in the neighborhood of 200 stands before I left Head-Fi in 2007 I believe. He wasn't a teenager then, but very close. It's incredible that so much time has passed since then. And I've made some of the best friends I've ever known! So Happy Birthday Duggeh, and thanks for the memories!
  11. Trump is the only person that can stop things escalating to WW3. He may not be a politician, but he seems to get things done. He would neve have done what Biden/Harris did in pulling out of a country while there were still American citizens in the country, and leave behind all the weapons and vehicles for the enemy to takeup. 😠
