  2. 17.59 miles today. 35 since Sunday! He had a pretty bad fall, but has a story and a cool scar now. It was a shop ride and we did the long one in the slower/15 MPH group. My watch doesn't auto pause so again, we were moving faster than 11.3 MPH the entire time. Xavier totally was out riding the older kid on a CAAD5 Cannondale. He's a boss. The ride leader is a shop employee. He didn't see the crash but he rode back and helped look over the bike. He later rode up and said to leave the bike with him overnight and he'll tune it up and make sure it's in good shape after the crash. Didn't buy from these guys, and have only spent 10$ with them in my life. We have 5-7 solid bike shops in town, and they are all fucking great. So lucky, shop wise. https://connect.garmin.com/modern/activity/1124976755 Edit: at dinner we looked at his Garmin. He's done just shy of 100 miles in the past month and change. That's awesome. **BRENT**

  3. As as can be seen in the photos, I've received the display cover I ordered for my BHSE's amp section, which was to the measurements I asked for. I also asked for part of the back panel to be cut out for cables to the BHSE. Because I'm so impressed with this cover, I'm going to order something similar from the same company for my 009's. For my 009's though that are on a headphone stand, I'll get a cover with a front opening door so I can get to the 009's without having to remove the cover altogether.

  7. I had a long weekend so stopped by to help the saxophonists out in my daughter's school band. I wound up sitting in for jazz band today and running it when the sub didn't show. I got asked to sit in with the band for an art show gig with them on Saturday so the teacher could play something other than sax to fill out the band better. Zoë was super excited for me to help out, which after the shit year she's had, well, was just glad I could find a way to make her happy. After work I went out with Xavier on a 17.5 mile group ride. 35 miles since Sunday, which is quite a bit for a ten year old over two rides, IMO. He's killin' it. **BRENT**

  8. I had made a custom display cover for my 009s, very similar to yours Dave. Mine however does not have a hinged door, rather there is an ergonomic slit at the bottom on either side to run the cable through and slip your fingers under to lift off. Is a door going to be rather clunky and an annoying ritual?

  9. I guess you need to teach the kids to tuck and roll so you can do drive-by daycare drop-off. Solves the idiot parallel parking by crashing problem.

  10. Good: All set for my first G Street Autocross event on Sunday. 2 Other Focus ST in my class so I'll have a good baseline (even if mines a bit of a porker with the sunroof) and the dealer fixed the autoglass issue and a minor issue with the hand brake that also now meant I got a fully re-aligned gear setup and that's way smoother which is great. Bad: my and Meaghan's cars got bumper damage from peoples front license plate screws, not sure where but I'm guessing someone at daycare is a fucking idiot.

  12. He should be unanimous, but you never know... there are a ton of voters and always a handful of homers. Nobody has ever won unanimously, but what he did this year was off the charts. Towns should also unanimous as Rookie of the Year, but almost for sure won't be. There are some real jerks in the New York media who will vote for Porzingis. My guess is that Towns will get 126 out of 130 first place votes, but deserves all 130 (assuming it's the same number of voters as last year). Glad I decided to watch the Lakers game tonight instead of the Warriors. Kobe was unreal in the 4th quarter.

  13. When I order one for my 009's John, it will be a case with also an hinged door, but unlike the cover that goes over the BHSE, this new case will have the panels fixed into an aluminium frame, it will also have a base panel, so the headphone stand the 009's are on will be in that case at all times, apart from when I clean it. I do cover my 009's with a stax cover, but it's split so needs replacing.

  17. Curry obviously will win another MVP, but he really should be considered for the Most Improved Player of the year as well, as crazy that may seem. Scoring has gone up from 23.8 to 29.9 and he's shattered this own record for most 3s in a season (from 286 to 392 and a chance to get to 400 tonight). His assists are down a little but his rebounds are up so that's offsetting. Really, for anyone to go from 24 to 30 points per game in one season, you would normally say it's a breakout season!

  19. Interesting. As of right now I wasn't planning/daydreaming about a gearing upgrade. I was just looking at a suspension, clutch/flywheel, stage 3 and LSD. Edit: It appears that the Getrag in the car deals with all that just fine...
