Thanks everyone. I survived the big 40 with fajitas, beer, margaritas, scotch, friends, and Cards Against Humanities. Unfortunately I developed a cold and it really hurts to swallow but I'll survive.
The problem is sling only offers espn for sports. There are't very many baseball games shown on espn (only the nationally aired ones). The Astros are not being shown on espn once this season (probably since they were supposed to suck).

Only on Root Sports cable channel. http://southwest.rootsports.com/ I have an HD antenna and it works great for football but not baseball. I signed up for a free 7 day trial of unlocator. Edit: After signing up on my computer, I am a little freaked out. I probably shouldn't be filling out forms on random website and clicking on terms of agreement. It was on Mac OS X, I didn't have to type in any administrator passwords so I don't think much damage could have been done. Do you think I should reinstall the OS on my computer? Maybe I'll just stick to watch Astros highlights after the game or get cable again for a few months...
Better yet, do you think I can change my apple tv dns server to a google public dns server or is there something I am missing?

According to this page proxy servers will not work. I am happy to pay a small amount per month (not getting cable though) but don't want to do something that is going to be a security risk.

This is my first year without cable. I would like to be able to watch the Astros games in real time instead of just watching the highlights, with mlb.tv. Some suggest using unlocator dns service. Is there any security risk to using this on the apple tv or ps3? I don't think I would feel comfortable using it on the computer or router. I don't use my ps3 for anything but playing local games so it seems I could use it only for mlb.tv and playing games without much risk.

If so, has anyone been able to get around the mlb local team blackouts?
