  1. Doesn't anyone make a high-end IEM in Europe?
  2. Tom popped my cherry in the back room of Grado labs in November of 2002. Good times. Wait..
  3. Thanks Nebby. Todd - the Lunchbox has a pretty high output impedance - yes? (wondering if that's the ideal choice for a low-impedance can?)
  4. Glad to hear the recovery is going well Justin.
  5. What is the nominal impedance of the HP50's?
  6. Depending on how consolidated & cheap you want to go, and if you can find one on the used market, the discontinued Apogee Mini-DAC gels nicely with Grados, IME.

    AKG K812

@shellyh - LOL! @AKG - more insane flagship headphone pricing.
  8. I'm amazed at the industry response to these USB dongle-type DACs (Audioquest Dragonfly, Meridian Explorer, etc.) I mean, a tiny device based on miniature IC's, with output stages getting juice from USB power? What does that say for traditional audiophile engineering beliefs (discrete circuits, beefy power supplies, class-A, sturdy cases, etc.)? Do they really match up to full-sized components, or are they "just" a gateway drug?
  9. ^ all of this Jeff - congrats & keep it up!
  10. Hoping for the best possible outcome for you & all of your family Todd.
  11. This seems like a terrific soccer-dad/mom type camera. Perfect for kids sports or other performance events. The sensor has shown decent low-light performance for the size. Coupled with a fast lens allowing for stop-action shutter speeds make it just the ticket. Add on an RX100 for EDC & you (and potentially a partner) have got family events covered at all times for under two G's. Shit, that would cover 99% of us.
  12. Yes, great pics indeed. You will all look back in a year & laugh.
