  1. That IS nice.....and a built-in tank is indeed good; the pieces connecting the tank to the base are often the first thing to wear (other than the flushing mechanism). It's what led me to replace two toilets, slow leaks of rusty water....yech....... I did like the price and flushing capability of the American Standard, though......both the ones I have work fine for our needs.
  2. Great stuff! I think the 5th time I've watched the video that coems with the review, never tire of it! But you need to be careful now Tyll, you'll probably end up on a Gangsta Shit (Hit?) List.....
  3. Very cute, Haj! Cats are funny in that "You caught me doing what I shouldn't....buuuuuut, I think I'll just stay here, so don't bother me" kind of way
  4. My wife and I went to a fun even at our temple last night, kind of a Casino-oriented fundraiser. Even though I don't gamble, I caught up with some friends, and had some samples of nice desserts, wines, and got to join in on a nice scotch comparison. On the line to taste: Glennkinchie 12 years old Dalwhinnie 15 Oban 14 (never tried this before, quite "bold" in aroma and taste) Cragganmore 12 Talisker 10 Lagavulin 16 (my favorite of the night) Also got to catch up with a friend I knew from college,. haven't really spent time chatting for about 25 years!
  5. ^^^ I can see this degenerating to toilet humor about the band.....
  6. ^^^ Now we'll go and have a mild winter! Good find.....and good on the camera too. PM coming your way, we have an old unfinished transaction....MAJOR Homer Simpson "D'oh!" moment!
  7. Late 80's/early 90's quirky art-pop day for me.....two by Shelleyan Orphan, Humroot and Century Flower......love Caroline Crawley!
  8. Interesting pics, and nice news on the recovery. Hope it continues well. I have a friend who went to RI School of Design; he was involved in the design of part of a knee (joint?) replacement process, and he also had some incredible pics of the surgery.....
  9. Loving this! Speedy recovery Shelly! And Wayne, you're like the retail outlets, the Xmas stuff is coming out TOO early Looking great, though!
  10. Loved the dance! And happy belated Dinny!
  11. I actually passed by White Plains on Saturday, but unfortunately couldn't stop down; DaveDerek is always trying to be the social coordinator and get me down there. Unfortunately, even though I was close I was under a timetable that wouldn't allow even a drop-in.... Nice pics, and looks like some nice gear too.
  12. I'm just afraid that my face will fall off now......
  13. Agreed with a lot of the above. If I get a price offered that is far enough below my asking, I often reply with something to the effect of "I might do that price, but would prefer to wait [some period of time] to see if I get at or closer to my asking price." More often than not, especially in this case where it's a fairly new ad, the person will come back with a better offer if they are truly interested.
  14. Some closure I guess, Wayne, but never what you want to hear. Interesting but so sad all at once..... We had our delayed trick-or-treating last night, had a smaller amount of kids this year than many others. In order to get rid of the candy, there were 3 guys at the end of the night that split a bucketful of goodies; they were in hog heaven...... My son, for the first time, didn't want to trick-or-treat, even though one of his best buddies came to our neighborhood this year. Yesterday was also his last soccer game of the season, another win, and we found out today his team was the winner of his league (they officially had one loss, but it was due to paperwork issues, and they had to forfeit; they played the game anyway and won 4-1, but the records won't show that). Coach had the team over tonight for a celebration, nice time for the kids. Got a bunch of work stuff and prep for Andrew's Bar-Mitzvah done this weekend, too. EDIT: and just watched the Patriots fuck up another game....eerily similar to the Super Bowl they lost to the Giants.....decided not to get any hopes up any more with them....
  15. All the best Dan, hope that 20% is 0% ASAP!
  16. Good luck on all accounts, Jacob. My thoughts: get the worst fights out now, and learn how to make up......makes life easier ongoing IMO, you see the best and worst up front
  17. Yay indeed, glad things are getting back to normal.... Our neighbors got their power back yesterday, and I also came home last night to internet/phone/TV working. I actually saw the Boston bruins WIN a game
  18. Hardly ever post here, don't imbibe so much anymore; but needed a good drink after some long days recently. Had some Lucid Absinthe in a Head-Case glass.....
