  1. Happy Birthday Marshall!
  2. RIP.....I'll miss his Matlock suits.....
  3. Happy Belated!
  4. I'm wondering if any mention of them in a reputable e-mag, especially comparing them favorably to Beats, would cause Monster to wield the mighty legal hammer of injustice.....too much "look and feel" for their liking. Maybe not, considering how many of that ilk are out there, but one never knows.... As much as it would be poetic justice to give props to a company that does style AND sound right, it does also give me puzzling thoughts in general.... But then, it's sold through Amazon, so it has some reputable backing to it on the surface. So I just don't know. I waffle like a campaigning politician!
  5. Happy Belated.... Hope it was a blast!
  6. HOPEFULLY someone else's..... But kind of an odd way to spend a day, life then death.....sorry to hear of the funeral
  7. Happy Birthday!
  8. Good luck to Adam, loved him as a player, and he got some nice remarks from Parise in regards to NJ......
  9. Happy Birthday!!
  10. Congrats on all accomplishments Adrian. And second the good wishes on a better feeling neck, Haj.....
  11. Been there and past, Dinny. I loved the days when my sister would ask for help, but still try to impress me with her technical acumen: "I think my hard drive needs more RAM"
  12. Yes, very nice table; how comfy is that chair, looks quite funky! Me: replaced my mother's computer, family tech guy strikes again. Now to see if her old one will take Windows 7.....
  13. I still prefer general honesty; maybe just hold back on some facts (like the amount of years since using Java), but never oversell. Having been interviewing lots of people over the past weeks, I am constantly finding examples of falsely upgraded resumes with work they have little or no clue about when pressed. We went through the hassle/work to get a contractor in, and within a week knew he wouldn't work out. It was almost like a different person landed in our office compared to the one who interviewed. Definitely brush up on the latest, but IMO never oversell yourself without being confident you can do the work. Everyone will be happier in the end. Once established in a company, opportunities should come. And good luck!
  14. Happy Birthday!
  15. Had to all but give my my Father's Day for me and didn't get to see my dad; drove to NY and NJ for a wedding that was on Sunday. Was an incredible wedding, though, bride and groom both great looking and wonderful kids, and party was big $ but extremely tasteful. Not the best way to spend the day, buit it's great to be at such nice events.....
  16. Congrats Dinny! Happy 8th and many many more!
  17. Congrats on the close! How much work do you think you'll need to do in the 2 weeks?
  18. Some good, father-son, father-son times there Al, congrats on the special times and great games to boot!
  19. Deepak, he mentioned the Shure 1840'snot the 840's.....you've heard the 1840's? By your note "it's been a while since I have heard those" I thought you might mean the 840's. FWIW, I like the 600's better than the 840's, had both; but haven't heard the 1840's..... EDIT: beat me to it.......
  20. Best wishes for your uncle, Dan. Indeed, positive thoughts!
  21. Congrats on making it thru.....will those same lawyers now take you out for that drink?
  22. Very Happy Birthday...s!
  23. Great win by the Kings. Big congrats to the team and a bunch of great fans (from other boards, and personal accounts of visiting Boston fans). Couple real funny things for me as a Bruins fan: 1) Those ex-Flyers get the cup, and more funny: 2) Mike O'Connell gets to hold the cup before Joe Thornton [Mike was the GM who traded Thornton away] I think the saddest part though was that the TV ratings for this final series were so low....the NHL is SO high on marketing people like Crosby and Ovechkin, or maybe New York for viewership, that they let a great opportunity slide away. Two great American captains in the final, an American goalie winning the Cup and Conn-Smythe.....they had an excellent opportunity to market this to America but failed. Oh, well.....now on to the awards show and the draft.....
  24. Dang, that's too effing cute! Gotta get a pic of my cat, he was a furry beast that - even with daily brushing - still got knots like dreadlocks. So he was shaved......looks like a lion now, with little kitty Ugg boots, a wild mane, and a little clump of fur at the end of his tail.....
  25. What a great pic of your dad, Al, the smile says it all! Glad to hear he's so up and about, looking quite awesome at 90!
