  1. Was that a meet with Ari?
  2. I've tried the 580 (twice), 650 (twice), 600, and 800. Over time, I got rid of each. I think the 600 was my favorite of the cheaper series, and the 800 was very nice driven by a DNA Sonett balanced out, but the Stax Lambda Pro/SRM-T1W combo still was better to me; so that went too. Now with the 007's and Spritzer-modded 727A, there's no comparison.... Oddly enough, perhaps my favorite synergy for just pure fun was the 580 with the Eddie Current Lunchbox amp. I listened to that combo a LOT, for decent stretches at a time.
  3. Hoping good things for you. My best friend was surprised several weeks ago by his wife asking for a separation; he knew there were troubles but didn't know she felt this strong. She just moved out last weekend. Three kids..... His only saving graces are that they'll work out to have the kids spend time with each, and also he had some good news at work as well, something to help occupy him.
  4. Indeed, I am truly humbled by the overall eclectic knowledge in this place. You are a REAL high class bunch of drunks! Seriously, thanks for the great info. At least one of these bottles is coming to the next MA (or if I can make a NY one some eon) meet!
  5. Happy Birthday Music-Man!
  6. ^^^ This. We stocked ourselves up with a fair bit of baby things, and found that almost half went unused or barely used. For carrying, we used a sling early on, and a Baby Bjorn thereafter.....or our arms.....
  7. I was at my mother's some time ago, and remembered that my stepfather (long since passed away) had some old liquor bottles in an armoir in her basement. I found several botttles of scotch and one cognac there. Was wondering if anyone had any thoughts on them. Worth bringing to a H-C meet? Literally, the only one I had ever heard of was Pinch....and the Ambassador is labelled the "lightest scotch in the world." The others are VAGUELY familiar, but most likely because I had seen them previously in the armoir. Please take a look, and any thoughts/opinions appreciated. Going to do some innernet searches as well...... Thanks! Todd.
  8. H-C patch FTMFW! When does the group buy start?

  15. Congrats! Indeed a beautiful baby, and I LOVE the name! Vicki, it's the perfect time to relax and regenerate, the house is not as important as you. Glad your mom's surgery went well, wishing good things continuously.
  16. Yes, best of luck, may all go smoothly and everyone be healthy and happy!

  18. Happy Blissful Birthday!! May it not be blue....
  19. Very Happy Birthday!!
  20. Agreed with all the above. My ex-colleague had it worse, and she recovered basically 100%, you really don't know it if you met her. And it certainly IS great to have good knowledgable people here, anmd also that they care so much! It's part of what makes this place great!
  21. Vicki, sorry to hear about your loss and troubles, but glad the family could get together as it could for the holiday. Wish you the best for you and your mom. Having lost family around holidays (Stepfather on Mother's Day, Grandfather right around Christmas), it seems to makes things that much more potent in our memories....I always try hard to remember the life, and not focus so much on the death.....balance.....
  22. Wayne, those pics are FANTASTIC!! You must be exhausted, but such a great thing to do and a great time for all involved I'm sure. Truly, Merry Christmas....
  23. Happy Birthday Guillaume! J'espère que vous avez un grand jour!
  24. Merry Christmas! May it be filled with joy and peace.
  25. Happy Birthday!
