I have no input to any of the discussion at hand, being unfamiliar with the people, products and situation. But.... One thing I really dislike is the use of extreme analogies to try support or prove a point. The Nazi and Rape analogies are extremely poor IMO, and to my eyes just serve to lessen the impact of the other things you say.

Mostly great news here, that's wonderful, congrats, but also best wishes for pneumonia recovery! I look at the record collection and sigh....when we moved into our house in 1996, I didn't have much room for vinyl, so sold off perhaps 2,500 pieces, keeping maybe 400-500 for me. Have grown that a bit since, but have also downgraded the phono setup over the years.... Some day, it'll come back again....including that Abba LP......

Yes, color me a bit cynical as well for now at least. While it does sound like there is some "audiophile passion" there, the whole thing about making some less expensive designs has me thinking that money (IE, cost to manufacture) will come into play overall. Hoping it won't, but again, will wait and see.
