I listened to Redman's album too. Really liked it. Was expecting it to be more experimental from Mikey's comments. It was pretty straight forward to me, and I did like the singer. Bummer that she sounded so off live. I also listened to this: I saw some YouTube videos of him but didn't think I'd like a whole album. I was wrong. The sound quality was surprisingly good, and this song blew me away, especially the solo. The 8+ minutes is well worth your time, but if you don't want to invest in it, the solo starts at 3:20.

I have that on my list to listen to. Most of Redman's stuff has been accessible. I'm interested to see what he's getting into.

What about the carbon filter?

Happy Birthday, Stretch!

This could be a 70s album sung by a 30-40 year old, but it's a 2023 album sung by a 20 something with rich lyrics and a sweet voice. A little Orbison Sounding.

^ I'm listening to this too because of your other post. How could anyone not like this? I'll be listening to the rest of their stuff too. Had to look up shoe-gaze, but I'd say you're right about that.

^ Good points you make. The lack of nuance or complexity in 100% of the characters made it a shallow ride.

It's weird seeing him without that long, skinny microphone. RIP Bob

It is clearly why Sony bought them. Expect them to to change their focus.

"gaming headphone maker" Because if they said audiophile headphone maker, no one would know what the hell they were talking about.

^ I'm the opposite. Although I've heard some of Rainbows songs, I never got into them. I listened to their first album. It had Man On The Silver Mountain... and that's about the only song worth listening to. This one, after Richie Blackmoore fired everyone but Dio, hits the mark. The song Stargazer is a masterpiece. In fact, The Charismatic Voice, reviewed that song on YouTube which sent me down this path. The song: These two in awe.

I'm working my way through BG3. Its also not my type of genre. Post apacalypse would be more my style. That said, it is amazing. One of the best games I've experienced as well. I'm also into lore and games in order but trying to go back to Fallout 1, reality set in and the monotony of those early games made it too painful, so I gave up.
