  1. FWIW, I've read on few AV and Home Theatre forums that Oppo is supposedly building a separate player focusing on analogue audio output (95?) and that there won't be 93SE.
  2. Sorry for you loss.
  3. I'm happy to say I've never actually seen the movie.
  4. How is the Netflix interface on Apple TV? I love having the Netflix on my PS3 but the interface is quite atrocious and bit slow, not to mention the need to put in the Netflix disc in every time I want to use it.

  7. I just looked at the Oppo store and BDP-83 is already gone from there. Aside from accessories/cables, BDP-83SE is the only one available for purchase.

Amazon.com Gold Box: New Deals. Every Day. Squeezebox Boom on Gold Box for $189.
  9. I'm not. They used the $499 price point and sold well until they released a short-lived BDP-80 priced at $289. I'm guessing only thing BDP-80 did was eat into BDP-83 sales without being a big seller that they were hoping, since $289 is too high to be an impulse buy, IMO.
  10. Is that a cowboy riding a giant rabbit on the first pic?
  11. I love the random helpful posts scattered across these threads. Back on topic, I mss Willowjack.
  12. The former. I didn't know if Win7 had limited amount of activations or not, since I never encountered that with XP when I used to format/re-install XP on regular basis.
  13. Is it actually not possible to install Win7 on two different computers now? I know this wasn't necessarily a problem with XP.

I just wear sneakers and/or flip-flops until snow starts falling. Then I switch over to my hiking boots. It's a good thing I rarely have to wear fancier shoes.

Gundam, though I think this was a rhetorical question. I do miss the days when Hello Kitty wasn't so ubiquitous and annoying.
  16. Annoying part is I teach in a school (private special ed school) but I don't get any discount from MS. At least I can get a nice discount from Adobe. That would be greatly appreciated it.
  17. I haven't had noise/heat issue with my newer PS3 (not slim) either, though I understand some are having problems with both the original models as well as Slims. For me, $399 for a well-regarded BD player with regular firmware updates that also functions as a game console and media server/streamer was a no-brainer over other BDPs I was considering at the time.

    Then there are these -
  19. I'm sorry to be bumping up a rather old thread, but was wondering if anyone still had deals on Windows 7? My XP partition appears to be dead (or at least dying a slow death) and I haven't been able to locate my stupid XP install disc (this will teach me to clean my shelves).

Embedding appears to be not working - didn't realize YouTube started disabling that.

The antenna tower video made me queasy. It also reminded me of this bit about that new huge ass tower in Dubai - *Bold emphasis added by me. Burj Khalifa - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

I just noticed this - there goes yet another one of my childhood memories.
