Do you have another computer to which you can connect your iPod in the off chance it's the iPod and not the iTunes? Personally, I like this solution the best.

1.8 or 1.4?

I played around with Nifty Fifty today. I really, really liked the focal length (80mm on crop sensor) - makes me wish I had a full frame camera so I can use my 85/1.8 at its actual focal length. The end results were good as well (operator error not withstanding) and the price can't be beat. One thing I don't like is the focusing speed - it's slower than I expected and it probably feels even slower since it's rather noisy. I was hoping it would curb my desire for 50/1.4 but I think it just made it worse (mostly due to its focusing speed).

It looks like I'm starting out this season like the last season - with a loss. As long as I don't start off with 4 straight losses again, I'll be happy, though.

I'd also get the one without ON/OFF switch if you can to avoid confusion if the DAC is off and they don't realize it. I do it all the time with Parasound - trying to figure out why I can't hear the music only to check the DAC after I've checked everything else (Squeezebox, iMac, etc.).

I just took 15 minutes of video of nothing in particular (I left the video camera recording) and it decreased my remaining capacity by 1gb.

There's a video function? I'm just kidding, but I've used the video function exactly twice in the time I've had the camera (~2 months). I guess I'm just not a video person - similarly, I've used the pocket camcorder about 5 times (aside from testing it out) in the 4 months or so that I've had it. I've found I much prefer taking pictures of my daughter than video, even if I'm lugging around my DSLR around my house/neighborhood.

When I first came to this country, I couldn't understand how people could drink root beer or Dr. Pepper. Now, they're two of my favorite sodas.

Jebus, that's expensive. What would be the point of paying so much? One could buy an iPhone 4 and full ETF and it would still be cheaper than that.

Dang. Sometimes, I wish I lived in NY area or west coast as I've definitely seen better deals on CL in those areas than in Boston/MA. Some of them enough that I seriously contemplated 4 hour drive to and from NY.
