  1. You know, it's funny that nobody here has mentioned it yet, but here at Head-Case we've had a fantastic discovery. Now we are a little bit secretive about it, so don't go telling non members about it please. OK, here's what you do...Take your headphones, in your case the AKG K701 (the K701 really is a great headphone for this discovery BTW), cut off the existing TRS phono plug at the end of the cable. Now stay with me here and follow my instructions to the tee, or this won't work properly. Strip about 5 inches of bare wire from the end of the cable (all three or four wires, depending on your specific cable). Now here's where you need to follow the instructions very carefully...PLACE THE HEADPHONES ON YOUR HEAD BEFORE MOVING TO THE NEXT STEP! Now here's where there's a little discrepency between members, some say to place the wires directly into your homes electrical outlet at this point, but I prefer the sound quality from method #2...Take all the bare wires and twist them together. Are you done twisting the wires? OK, now take the bare wires with a little bit of Crisco (trademarked) and slide them as far up your ass as you can get them. No, farther than that, you can do it! Now fart!

I do believe he has his own arrested development.

    RIP Les Paul

Doesn't the story go that Less mounted a phono pickup into a guitar, thus creating the first electric guitar? However it happened I know he was instrumental (no pun intended) in developing the first electric hard bodied guitar. We'll miss ya Less.
  5. So I actually just played my first regular DVD on the Oppo. The upconversion is damned impressive! I'd been avoiding anything but Blu-ray, but that just changed.

  10. Oh come on! You knew it was inevitable! Besides, he found a spider web on it the other day. A sure sign it's been around too long.

Well yeah, if you can't figure that out you probably don't get it, at least not often.
  15. Seems like a reasonable question for a kid to ask IMO. The cool thing about kids questions to me is the complete lack of any malice. They just see something and want to know why it is.
  16. Marc, I just looked it up and the monthly fee for membership to 'Grannys in Bondage.com' is only $15.99. Just pay it and be done with it. I can loan you the $15.99 if that's the issue.
  17. It's rigged! Rigged I tell you!
  18. Very cool indeed! Thank goodness I haven't been lured to the stat side yet, because finding a builder for this could be tough. I'll enjoy watching this progress immensly.

Must be that large to fit on Jena cables.
  20. Well yeah, but not for the entry level price of $2,000,000.00. That's a $500,000.00 add on. Sheesh don't be a cheap bastard.
  21. Break out the water jet!
  22. Generally there are several bathrooms to choose from on transatlantic flights now Duggeh, you don't need to drill your own hole in the bottom of the plane.
  23. Very close indeed. Add the heavy cream and sour cream for the cheese sauce. I developed my recipe over several years of trial and error, but have it pretty well perfected now. So much so that it's usually requested at gatherings. I'll post the recipe for anyone interested. This is what I refer to as a single batch, and just reading the recipe will put 2lbs. above the beltline. 1 Lb. Large Macaroni noodles 2 Lbs. Cheese (I like a mix of Cheddar and Pepper Jack) 1 Pint Heavy Whipping Cream 1 Pint Sour Cream Start boiling water for noodles in a large pot. Add the macaroni once water is at a full boil. You can add salt to the water if desired. Shred or dice cheese in small cubes. Set aside a handful of shredded cheese to sprinkle on top of macaroni. Add the heavy cream and cubed cheese into 2 Qt. sauce pan, and use medium heat until cheese is thoroughly melted. Stir often. Once the macaroni noodles are just slightly under cooked take them off the heat and drain the water. Put the noodles back in the large pot and pour the cheese sauce over the noodles. Add the sour cream and stir well. Be careful not to break up the noodles. Sprinkle the handful of shredded cheese over the top and bake in a pre heated 400 degree oven uncovered for 45 minutes. Immediately after baking set the oven to broil to brown the cheese on top. Keep a close eye here, and this should only take a minute. Enjoy!
  24. The makings for my homemade Mac and Cheese. Making 10 lbs. of it for a get together tomorrow.
  25. I remember that commercial quite well.
