From what I can see the dac1 pre is just the dac1 usb + analog inputs

Picked up MGS4 today, it's pretty awesome so far.

A dac1 thats warm? Unless the dac1 pre is significantly different than previous dac1's I'd have to question his definition of "warm". I don't think the dac1 is a bad dac, I just find it to be bright and at times thin.

You sure can, user cp -> edit options -> Default Thread Subscription Mode

So what happens when you click the stats tab?

Might be unnecessary but that's a damn nice case .

That function is set under your user cp -> edit options -> message editor interface. If it's set to basic that's why you can't see them, choose one of the other options.

ok this is a user profile setting, enter your user cp, then edit options then look for the last setting: message editor interface. If it's set to basic thats why you can't see the smilies choose one of the other two.
