Philips Fidelio L1 could be worth checking out. B&W P5 comes to mind, too. For a super portable IEM, check out the Klipsch Image x10. I love that headphone. And JH16.

Thanks, Jim, I agree. The bamboo just doesn't do it for me. I like the cherry wood. Antonio, I generally agree with your observation, but the Luxman combo has that fun, fat sound that can be satisfying, too. I'll be sure to post more as I get used to them.

This is a solid recommendation. I currently have the Centrance DACPort and it sounds good to me. I would just use the 650 instead of the 600, but reasonable minds can differ on that.

Went to the annual benefit for the non-profit my mother helped get off the ground in NYC. It's a children's literacy program and has really taken off over the last 10-15 years.
