  1. It looks like we'll have enough folks for a quorum. Some details: I have a room/meeting space for anyone who wants to bring/listen to gear. It's at the Tangeman University Center at the University of Cincinnati and I will have the room for the majority of the day. Parking is unfortunately $10 for the day. The closest hotel for those interested is the Kingsgate Marriott. It is about 1 Mile from the center. I couldn't get a space at the hotel, they were having some big conference that weekend. It is also, as Todd pointed out, Head-Case's 8th birthday that day. With that in mind, I wasn't planning on advertising this anywhere else.
  2. Thanks friends! Thankfully I have avoided the hiccups this evening.
  3. Went for a short ride earlier. It was rather cold but at least there was no ice or snow on the path.
  4. Actually, in the car mechanic world, they charge extra for a change of attitude. $400 extra to your bill for an "Attitude Adjustment"
  5. What connecter is that and why is it like 4 inches long?
  6. Not sure how Fuck Buttons hasn't made an appearance in this thread yet.
  7. Thanks for the kind words and sorry for the delay, finals week here. It's been a struggle but I'm just happy she's making music now. I would say I've got a new space heater but I haven't seen anything above 90F on the main heatsinks yet. Definitely, altogether, a much better sounding amp over my last one. Now I think I need to start saving up for O2s.
  8. Some blurry phone pics from when I was zeroing the offset and balance yesterday.
  9. My KGSSHV is together (minus the top cover), zeroed out (less and +/- 1V in all four ways) and making music (sweet, sweet, glorious music). I'll try to take some nice pics when I feel like turning it off.
  10. You guys have turned me on to Christopher Ward. Pondering an aviation style one as a Christmas gift to me. I noticed they got rid of the C11 MSL Auto that was all black with a black band...
  11. My favorite part of this is the facial hair. It is just fantastic! Glad to see you all had a great time.
  12. I'm with mostly everyone on this. Reworking a board is so completely different from putting one together. If you don't have experience and the right tools, might as well just forget it. Even with a more robust board, it still takes learning. It is nice to see someone with lofty DIY goals though. Keep at it and it'll be your project to work towards.
  13. It's only been six months, are you ready?
  14. If I could make a 2Lt attend class for me, I might never go to class again.
  15. I feel like I should mention that the only thing standing between me and a fully operational KGSSHV is my back panel. The current one doesn't fit the case so I have to get it re-made. Hopefully before Thanksgiving, we'll see. Looks good though:
  16. I wish to record my hiccups in 192k, binaural quality and send it to Jeff.
  17. I am cringing so hard you can not even imagine. Dental work scares me more than any horror movie to date. I feel maybe a tenth of you Doug.

    Hi.

Stuff makes things, unless it makes other stuff. Also things make things. Explained to me by former scientist roommate, I have accepted this as my gospel.

    Hi.

Careful, you seem to have made your opinion known pretty clearly already. You don't want to be labelled a hypocrite. I too am a fan of stuff. Mostly things though.
  20. Depending on how my schedule filters down, I can most likely make Saturday and Sunday.
  21. Herbert von Karajan with the Berliner Philharmoniker playing Brahms' Symphony #2, 4th movement. Sometimes shuffle digs deep and returns with a gem.
  22. I'm partial to CSAR but that may be the Air Force talking. In for 1
  23. Figures, I leave the state and now you guys have a meet. I expect you all to have twice the fun because of it.
  24. In other news, mine is making music finally.
