  1. Wikipedia says you can get it from Japan Group buy?
  2. I thought the output on the Squeezebox 3 digital out was a bit hot, with volume maxed/bit perfect. So far the Touch seems like it is about the same level output.
  3. The Touch is a really slick device. Using it now with a BlacX and a 1.5 TB drive through USB and the interface rocks, no lag whatsoever. I love not having to turn on the desktop computer and deal with wireless.

I was too, and I would have stuck with it. But pretty much everything uses HDMI these days :/

Looks like a decent receiver, but I imagine the reason they're giving them away with other purchases is it's pretty dated by todays standards.

I'm quite partial to Clay Davis
  7. Excellent
  8. I agree don't see why it shouldn't work. But it has acted funny on one of my older computers with USB 1 ports only. I didn't know about this USB feature until you mentioned it in the other thread. Pretty damn nice if it will work with my collection without having to turn on one computer. Go green! /turns on 250 watt headphone amp
  9. Anyone using a BlacX connected directly to the Touch via USB?
  10. Will do. I haven't followed vintage Stax recently, but that was a pretty common selling price. I always thought the most expensive Lambdas were the 580v bias models minus Lambda Pro.
  11. Miguel get an Omega 2, it will leave that K1000 crying for attention
  12. NB = normal bias? If so you can find working pairs in good condition for around $200.

  15. preordered GT5 Collectors Edition. I had to do it for the scale GTR model
  16. I'm in for sure this year.

    Unlikely time for me \
  20. My thinking might be off here- but I wasn't thinking of getting a high mass tonearm since medium mass tonearms seem to go well with a wider variety of modern cartridges. Maybe I just need to hear a "vintage" design cartridge I like, but so far it seems like I'm a Dynavector and Zyx type of person.
  21. Hard to gauge the sound quality in a stock configuration because the tonearm is quite primitive. Once modded I am a big fan of idlers. I think I should be able to do the plinth by myself, the mods are well documented, but someone else would have to do the finish. Contacting Dr Wood is another good idea numbs .I'm not sure what to go for as far as tonearm (budget under $1000 used, Moerch?) I like the Graham Phantom and Tri-Planar but they are out of my budget at the moment.
  22. My prettiest Lenco thus far. Dust cover not installed yet. Other picture- nearly 4" of bubble wrap around the plinth/motor section. About as much on the dust cover packed in a separate box.
  23. Some of the larger Coincident speakers might be up your alley. I've seen older models 2/3 or less off retail on Audiogon. There are very few box speakers that have really impressed me. And the ones that did are all quite expensive :/
