    Canjam 2010.

I'm looking at either a wednesday to Sunday or Thursday to Monday schedule for CanJam. It would be cool to hit these if we have time, be nice to have a night out with the folks here looks like this one is within striking distance of a CTA stop The Map Room - Reviews - BeerAdvocate Hopleaf Bar - Reviews - BeerAdvocate this one looks slightly out of the way but cool none the less Firkin, The - Reviews - BeerAdvocate

  9. stay safe Naaman my thoughts are with you and I'd add to the ISOM box
  10. the answer the comes back each tome this is asked is no as they are a pro audio company and want to remained focused on that market. While I understand your point from a straight line logic perspective if the uln-8 is subjectively better than dacs in it's price point (I thought it was better than the Berkeley Alpha) than why care that it comes with stuff you don't need. Your all set to go down to the local tavern and record your favorite band with this thing all you need is mics.
  11. its awesome to make strong coffee ( that I add a little water to) but do not be fooled it in absolutely not an espresso maker
  12. I own a unl-2 and have a ULN-8 on the way great DAC and ADC as well. Not sure about the best in the world but all things considered extremely good and sonically far above their price point.
  13. oddly I find the 404le pretty well resolving and it responded well in the change in amps from the eXStatA to the BH at the NYC meet. If anything I would consider these to be more analytic than fun phones as there is no wooliness to the sound. Tonally they are drier than I'd like in a perfect world but are outstanding in the price they play in (under$700). They 4070 and O2 probably smack the shit out of them (I'll know in a week or so) but they should for a retail 3-4 times the 404le.
  14. thinking of using a very hard wood and having concave discs made Concave Areng Wood Plugs 1.34" inch 34mm (p1011) - eBay (item 170296851330 end time Mar-19-10 15:58:20 PDT) or
  15. thinking of using concave furniture sliders found at home despot
  16. sweet!
  17. Grawk maybe we can do a keg for CanJam
  18. Ari thanks for the tip on the bearings now I just need the cups. The squash balls are cool but I am trying to test out this thing as the results for speaker isolation is said to be great. The catch is you do not want to be drunk and knock into them.
  19. according to the man concave with no flat spots
  20. Ok I have read a bunch from Barry Diament about ball bearing and air bladder isolation and I want to take the plunge. Here is what I am trying to find but without the high audio price tag any ideas where I can find stainless steel cups like that and very hard ball bearings? These are like $180 for a set of three and I am hoping to source something like it for a lot less. Any ideas?
  21. I hate myself I just ordered the 64 gb non-3g version
  22. Carl Oz from LTBS has a few Rega platter options as well he is a TT nut (meant in a good way)
  23. Those hand cranks are great but if you are pulling several shots of espresso a hand crank can get old fast. I used to travel with a Zass grinder and I enjoyed it for that purpose.
