HF-2 is indeed a winner. Nice smooth (not overly so) sound, does nothing wrong to me. This is with bowls; didn't like them with flats. I'll be comparing them to the ESW10 tomorrow. HD800 is another clear winner; I haven't heard any other headphone sound so right. I wish I could afford this.

I like the idea of using a flat SATA cable for USB, though. And the purple is slick. $50 is way over what I'd pay for a USB cable though

The obvious solution to using US voltage electronics in Japan is a step up transformer. Or a different AC adapter if that's possible. But say I wanted to use this in Japan. Is it doable without a step up transformer? The IEC inlet on top right says EMI Filter 115V/250V~ 50/60Hz

Basically it says that the midrange "etch" (I'm assuming they're talking about the same thing) is gone in the LTD, making it a Lambda family STAX that's most like the 007(A). Sounds really interesting.
