Nylon Multifilament
Yeah, the 1/8" only fits over the mini quad, and 1/4" is pretty fat over 4 strands of 22-24awg. 3/16" would work for both.

The Headcase Stax thread
How often do those come up? I vaguely remember spotting one on eBay recently, but I can't say I've seen more than I can count on one hand for sale anywhere.

In that price range (or even just any price range that doesn't include the O2) the solution seems to be the normal bias SR-Lambda.

CanJam 2009
'fraid not, he seems to be a very busy man, I mean that's the only explanation for being a member here and not posting right? Hitching a ride in a friend's truck with another friend, so if we wanted to take him we'd have to cram him somewhere, probably on the trunk

not-quite-punk rock, it's pretty catchy and fun and cool.- What are you listening to Part Two

STAX SRS-005A system and a US AC adapter.- How Do You Store Your Audio Crap?
The words "misc" "random" "other" are all over my file directories... and of course my real life organization is something like that too- What do you think about this setup?
Dunno if the 840C as DAC is the best value for just the DAC, but I haven't heard one. And definitely ignore the cables for now unless you have the money to spare, in which case you should add the Enigma Audio cables to your options--PFKMan reviewed APS and Enigma and thought the Enigma was better. Both are very well made cables though.- Post the last thing you bought!
Sennheiser MX760 earbuds. I read they had different drivers than the MX560 and I had to confirm, and even if they were the same a backup is always nice. Based on initial impressions so far, I'd say these sound better than the PX100 (more midrange clarity, not as good soundstage and a little treble edge) and definitely better than the MX560 (a little plasticky sounding).- CanJam 2009
Some crazy folk convinced me that 2 weeks before I finish school was a great time to go to CanJam, a friend here agreed to go with me, and he got his roommate to take us to CanJam. Hope to see you all there.- HD800? Another rumor?
The Senn PX100 is newer than the Koss PRO4/AA and still sounds better.- What are you listening to Part Two

Yeah, I neglected to mention the hyperglide skates for both old and new MX518 models I bought too As for the hard surface, I saw a good number of people saying the hyperglide+Qck was a great match so it should be okay.- Post the last thing you bought!
Backup/new revision MX518 and Qck mini mousepad Killer combo. The scroll wheel on my 1 year old MX518 was getting wonky and I didn't want to open it up without some sort of backup. The new revision, through a combination of new style of feet and fresh feet, slides really really well. The Qck mini is a good step above the fUnc Surface 1030 too.- What are you listening to Part Two

Speaking of jude, "That all said, in my opinion, the A-10/HE90 edged out the Apache/HD800 at our Mini-Meet. The former may very well be the best headphone audio setup I've heard, period"- My very own Beta 22 thread
The good news is that the B22 is safe. The bad news is that you have no working power supply for your new baby.- Post the last thing you bought!
Still on the quest for those magical IEMs eh? Using them outside of work now, different work, or what? Oh and long time no see, how's it going?
