  1. Happy Birthday!
  2. Well, yeah
  3. All of the Canare, Mogami, Belden, etc. bulk cable suitable for ICs is termed microphone cable.
  4. Yeah, saw that. RIP
  5. Get well soon Ken! Sorry about the accident.
  6. Happy Birthday!
  7. Happy Birthday Reks! And what Gene said!
  8. WTG Raffy! Found this on paceline, and rather funny, but unfortunately also probably very true (and not just MTB) http://www.theteamrobot.blogspot.ca/2013/12/breaking-news-from-team-robot_20.html?m=1
  9. Happy Birthday guys!
  10. Amb's procedure in this thread is the clearest I know of on how to adjust these. Since you are doing a fully balanced board, I'm not sure if the fully differential front end will have any effect on doing this or not.
  11. Merry Christmas All !!!
  12. Well said Birgir. Just a caution that this doesn't devolve like the nwavguy/o2 thing did...
  13. Happy Birthday!
  14. Yeah, for home theater and free, why not? Are the connections to the subwoofer on these things just passthroughs (for a home theater receiver/amp) or are these powered systems (line level signal in)? Being Bose I would think maybe the latter, but I don't know...
  15. I dunno... the Bose I've heard had more problems than just the price; this includes the 901s...
  16. The Art of Electronics, Horowitz and Hill is a good book. You might want to just grab the shit to make a Cmoy from ratshack for a bit of practice first before you start into anything. I probably have an extra panasonic pot laying around that you could have for that. Maybe an opamp as well. Besides that, you should be able to get everything there for cheap (metal film resistor assortment, board). Will give you some soldering practice, and doesn't sound too bad.
  17. Happy Birthday!
  18. Great to hear Justin. I agree with Jeff. The last hip I had done, a PT nurse came in the night of the surgery and grabbed my leg and bent it up as far as it would go. Freaked me out at the time, but helped a lot! The more you can move, the better off you are usually (within Dr. parameters).
  19. God are these guys full of it! Who cares what the jitter is at 100MHz, how about at 10Hz? Any decent clock on the planet could probably meet (or beat easily) their spec.
  20. ^ That might work for Dan (from driveway pics of his that I've seen)
  21. You mean you broke it while riding it, or taking it apart? If the former, they should cover it. This shit shouldn't break. What kind of IGH is this?
  22. Finally got around to looking at this today. Of course Mr. Scope confirmed Kevin's diagnosis (and cure); it was definitely oscillating. 200 ohms in series with the pot wiper -> amp took care of it. Funny, it didn't oscillate when I built it and worked on checking dc offset (with board input shorted). Must be the additional inductance/capacitance of the input and pot wiring. I would guess that had I board mounted the pot (this is one of Justin's V2 boards), it would not have done this. Thanks for the quick help Kevin!
  23. Happy Birthday Gene!!
  24. Sorry about the slide out. I'd take hotter than crap right now vs. what we have (10F this morning with about a 20mph N wind... would have been a sweet day to ride into work )
  25. Happy Birthday Bryan! Enjoy the beer(s) or whiskey if you are getting into that more
