Fuck in snow
^ I remember the first December when I lived in Dallas. It got down to 5F for a day or so. The little furnace thingie in our apartment ran nonstop and only kept the apartment in the mid-50s. $300 heating bill that month. Sweet. According to the weather channel hourly forecast for Monday, it is supposed to be -19F when I go to work and -16F at noon. Nice. Add a 20+mph NNW wind. I might actually break out the parka Reks: for normal non-accessorized shoes/boots, I've always loved these Ecco Track II boots on slick surfaces; they grip the best of anything I have worn. Some sort of polyurethane sole. Never tried the Yaktrax or others and am sure they work well.

HC Bike/Cycling Thread
WTG Raffy! Found this on paceline, and rather funny, but unfortunately also probably very true (and not just MTB) http://www.theteamrobot.blogspot.ca/2013/12/breaking-news-from-team-robot_20.html?m=1

KG Balanced Dynahi build discussion thread
Amb's procedure in this thread is the clearest I know of on how to adjust these. Since you are doing a fully balanced board, I'm not sure if the fully differential front end will have any effect on doing this or not.

Getting Started in DIY
The Art of Electronics, Horowitz and Hill is a good book. You might want to just grab the shit to make a Cmoy from ratshack for a bit of practice first before you start into anything. I probably have an extra panasonic pot laying around that you could have for that. Maybe an opamp as well. Besides that, you should be able to get everything there for cheap (metal film resistor assortment, board). Will give you some soldering practice, and doesn't sound too bad.

HC Bike/Cycling Thread
Great to hear Justin. I agree with Jeff. The last hip I had done, a PT nurse came in the night of the surgery and grabbed my leg and bent it up as far as it would go. Freaked me out at the time, but helped a lot! The more you can move, the better off you are usually (within Dr. parameters).

You mean you broke it while riding it, or taking it apart? If the former, they should cover it. This shit shouldn't break. What kind of IGH is this?

DC offset with phones plugged in...
Finally got around to looking at this today. Of course Mr. Scope confirmed Kevin's diagnosis (and cure); it was definitely oscillating. 200 ohms in series with the pot wiper -> amp took care of it. Funny, it didn't oscillate when I built it and worked on checking dc offset (with board input shorted). Must be the additional inductance/capacitance of the input and pot wiring. I would guess that had I board mounted the pot (this is one of Justin's V2 boards), it would not have done this. Thanks for the quick help Kevin!
