  1. Steve, does the gain feel about right with the M22? Also, how much time do you need to really evaluate a new amp for the K1000? The reason I say that, is I have one I'd suspect that would be a fantastic pair with the K1000, and with my time with it so far, I'd say it would really be hard to beat. I think I could try and keep it out when you're around next week to try and listen to it. Heck, I'm considering a pair of K1000 just to try with this amp I have a feeling it would take longer for me to judge an amp though...
  2. Nate, let me check in the morning.. I should have plenty.
  3. I think so. It's not an off-the-shelf part, so I'll have to check. Always up for trades as well
  4. I might have one for sale if you are interested...
  5. Still looking for a Sinn 856 S. Heck even a new one I would consider.
  6. black always sounds better
  7. Forgot to post my travel details: Arrive Friday, March 8 3:58pm at Union Station (via Amtrak) Depart Monday, March 11 10:25am at Midway (via Southwest)
  8. Cool! I'd love to take it. I've bought my plane ticket and at some point need to buy my show tickets.
  9. Just decided to cash in my stock-pile of Apple store gift certificates and bought a quad-core i7 Mac mini. It will be here on Monday I guess!
  10. well, just bought one of these to use: http://www.ebay.com/itm/Digital-Optic-Coaxial-RCA-Toslink-Signal-to-Analog-Audio-Converter-Adapter-/321049365774?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item4ac0088d0e any idea if the TV remote will control the volume control of the optical output? probably not, which begs the question on how I will control volume, as this will go straight into the A2s.
  11. I have the A2. They are the only speaker I can fit in my entertainment system, so I'm stuck with them. Now, I'm using the analog outputs on my Popcorn Hour so I'm using them for that single source. I'd like to use them across all my sources. So, yeah, in the same boat as you are
  12. I'll have to verify when I get home, but I think either should be fine. If not, I'm sure I can make it work.
  13. Cool, I'm in the same situation. I have no idea why they only have a digital output. My route would be the cheapest possible D/A converter. I have ATV and Audio Engine speakers I want to use.
  14. I'm planning a few trips to Atlanta next year, so I'll try and attend. The earlier the better for me.
  15. ^ I'd probably keep the FET current buffer. You can get really low distortion this way, depending on the topology. Anyone know of a place that can beat PcX's price on TKD 2CP-601S 10K?
  16. read 'em and weep:
  17. Remember, that is max die temperature. Also, they don't specify how long they promise them to work at 150C. I'd recommend shooting at 50% the recommendation.
  18. I think you need a single chassis. Something like this: http://www.diyaudio.com/forums/showthread.php?t=225623
  19. Its half a pound more. Thats what, 15% more? I cannot believe people that have held both in real life or better yet own both would notice. Remember at the back the thickness difference is a whopping .07".
  20. I do this and it works well.
  21. I had some screen shearing with mine but it got fixed at some point with an update. You should hold the Air and the rMBP. The difference to me is minimal. Even between the 15" rMBP and 13" air, honestly. Like I said, work out more and youll get used to it. You need a trip to the Apple store my friend.
  22. Please tell me you have seen both in person. No really.
  23. You seem to always bring this debate up Dinny 13" rMBP for me. The screen is awesome.
