I had some screen shearing with mine but it got fixed at some point with an update. You should hold the Air and the rMBP. The difference to me is minimal. Even between the 15" rMBP and 13" air, honestly. Like I said, work out more and youll get used to it. You need a trip to the Apple store my friend.

My parents thought the 11" was super impracticable, as the screen was just too small for them. I would think that would vary quite a bit though person to person...
