  1. I did, and was initially told, "no", but was later tracked down and I am now the proud owner of two over-priced bulk earplugs.
  2. Seeing Buckethead in about an hour, forgot my hearing protection. Fuck.
  3. 16Hz?!?!? Unholy carp...
  4. So black Much black Can't even see the coaxial speakers I only have the mild-mannered D5s, would love to hear the Q12s.
  5. Still on Tomita -- not finding a whole lot on Spotify or Tidal, and far too lazy to dig out my CDs and/or records, so I went with...YouTube. There's a nice playlist of most everything (including the Debussy album, Pictures, Planets, and the Grand Canyon Suite -- probably the four most important works of his to me) called "Tomita - Electronic Music Wizard".
  6. Also, it's called Computer World or Computerwelt if you're German. I saw them on that tour. Love this album, perfection.
  7. Happy almost belated! (party favour noise)
  8. I agree that it's "juicy delicious mellowness", I just wasn't ready for that. I'll listen to it again when I'm in the mood for that.
  9. But which do you like better, fucking butter or fucking batter?
  10. Cheers to that!
  11. Damn, those both sound tasty.
  12. Incorrect. The fat should be infused with the beef, imparting a delicious flavour that is greater than the sum of their parts, without the yicky texture (cf. Steve's impression of okra, most non-oyster-eaters' impressions of oysters, etc.), in this case, of fat.
  13. Texas style brisket from Smokey's Bones -- damn, that was nasty, very fatty, which tells me ... I don't know what that tells me, but it was nasty.
  14. I just got carded.
  15. Or you could just start stating your age in hex...0x29? Although you don't look a day over 0x27.
  16. That's what Fortran is for.
  17. Unholy carp, you did all that in that short a time...?!?!?
  18. Maybe, it's certainly listenable. Played Tomita's Kosmos earlier, because that was the only thing Tidal had, now listening to Bloc Party's Hymns. OK Computer is 'on deck'.
  19. Yeah, he's the reason I love Grofé's Canyon Suite, and his early stuff was very influential on how I hear synthesizer tonalities/timbres -- very unorthodox in places, yet he makes it work, musically.
  20. I didn't think it sucked, but it's certainly the least experimental of their releases. So, not so much breath-taking, as I-won't-hold-my-breath. Going to go back and listen to OK Computer.
  21. salmon steak marinated in
  22. Thanks for your Google-fu, Graham, I was too lazy to look. The reason image-search came up blank is because an imaginary friend* of mine who went to the show took the picture, and took it at an angle to downplay its anthropomorphic qualities, I suspect on purpose. Yeah, you should, speakers are cool. Not as nice as headphones, but they're useful when you don't want to be tethered, or are moving around a lot, or have wet hair, or are dirty, or... *Imaginary friend == anyone I've met online, but not necessarily in real life... ...wait, does that mean Jacob is my imaginary friend?
