It was still delicious, but I ended up putting something from all four of the spice tray spices (fish oil, sambal oelek, crushed peppers and I don't know what the fourth one is, but I used it anyway - jalapeños suspended in vinegar?) and brought it up to a palatable level of heat.

Shape of Despair, Monotony Fields -- a nice return to form after Illusions's Play (2004 album that followed the epic Shades of... and Angels of Distress) and Shape of Despair (2005 album). There's also Written in My Scars EP which I will have to check out, but it's not on their bandcamp. And apparently they have a first album/demo, Alone in the Mist. Why even post that? I think we all know that. I think his point was that if you believe in the manufacturer's aural vision , then the best way to achieve it might be to find the same source and amplification. The way you said it takes all the art out of it. Now I don't personally believe that all manufacturers of high end audio are artists, but I think at least several of them succeed.
