Dammit, hungry now, and it's the middle of the fucking night, so no large meals. Oatmeal or ramen? Madras lentils.

I don't think there's an emoji that captures my sense of, "that's horridly crass".

So creepy: After which the following exchange happened: "It's Lenin, is it not?" (Me): "It does look like him, dunnit? Also kind of looks like Putin. I wonder if those children are being force-fed his chin. That's...that's kind of very creepy. Like a level of creepy of which I had not heretofore imagined." "Peter (I can almost imagine her stand with her wrists on her hips), this..." "...or that..." Both bald guys. So creepy, whoever it is. Me: (I crack me up.) "Peter...love...You got the drawing tablet out pretty quick!" Me: Giggling like a 6th grader the entire time, too. -

I am laughing so hard it hurts. Do yourself a favour and search on "vocals half-step out of key" -- it's the best thing since St. Sanders. -
Everything is going to sound different, unfortunately. So my advice is to go about this psychologically -- me, I prefer the all-black look, so to put my mind in a good state, I will eventually get the very best all-black version that I can get (probably with the port mod, but I don't find it as significant an improvement as everyone else does, so not right away). It sounds to me like you have a definite preference -- I recommend you go with that preference. PS Great user name. I also highly recommend avoiding yourself, they totally ruin the listening experience!

One of my favourite current bands, Big Big Train (the one I nearly traveled to England to see live), Folklore

v Contains more explicit spoilers than ^ . Someone commented on this pedal with, "Also serves as a warning as to what inhaling too much solder fumes will do to your brain.": -
Bunch of Test Tone -- I need something much more sedate than Bent Knee -- which I've been listening to non-stop since last weekend -- today.

What do you mean, you got away with it? I was throwing you dirty looks the entire time. And then looking at the sign that said, "no parking or standing", and then looking back at you. None of which you saw, because you were studiously ignoring me. Okay, not really, completely different state.

I'm eating my home-made weird Arrabiata/Puttanesca/chillia goulash thingy. Sofa king deli shuss.

No, it's not. That's pretty much the premise to a horror movie. Somewhere between Saw and Purge. Psauwrge. -
Went again, tonight. Even better -- they played a longer set, the music room to breathe...I am in heaven. I was giggling again with how good it was. Alas, Melissa and company were surrounded by admirers, so I think my profile wasn't as high as the previous day, when I pretty much had her undivided attention. Oh well. Still dig her. That said, I got to meet the rest of the band -- Courtney, lead singer, keyboardist, magician with reverb; Ben, lead guitarist -- quite the character, tried to be entertaining, enjoyed awkwardly failing. Example: when he signed my CD, he wrote "slipped on a dog", he said, "because that's funny", I said, "not to the dog", so he wrote, "the dog was fine". Couldn't stop giggling. ...also Gavin the drummer, Chris, and Vince.

My ex (who is a fantastic cook) prefers non-hoppy reds. As for the rest: sounds delicious.
