Correct, but it's also more efficient, which is why they're still popular. Shelly, I am ashamed to admit that I have ...uh... two of their sealed subs (don't even know which two -- SB-1000 and SB-2000, I think), but haven't unpacked nor heard either of them.

SVS are more famous for their subs, I've heard zero about their speakers. I would think for US$1K you could do better, but you won't know unless you try, so I say dew et, and utilize that 45 day return policy if it doesn't work out. They do look pretty bad-ass, though. Kinda like the Quad 22L or 23L.

I'm not sure you don't need to change a setting so that it xmits on USB a la USB-OTG. But yeah, get a good one, first. Yeezh.
