Dude, this is awesome.

Sympathies for Ozzy. Hope his last several weeks/months/??? are comfortable and relatively painless and high in the quality-of-life department. My last several years with Luvbug were very subdued (she spent very little of that time energetic), but I like to think that her quality of life was pampered-high during that time. I wouldn't trade them (other than -- maybe -- the last day or two) for anything. Me: funeral, MODC. Epic win, I kid you not. EPIC WIN. Got to see a lot of good people, and share in some very good memories and socializing. And more quality hugs than I can count. I normally hate funerals. Especially of the highly religious variety -- I just don't know (as a hardcore atheist) how to fit in, and there was only one person and one moment that made me feel out of place, otherwise everyone was very positive and very nice. I even enjoyed (!!!) the screaming babies. It seemed like a celebration of life.

I actually had to get used to a certain source that delivered an unexciting, dry, straightforward presentation. It was actually accurate, and the more I listened to it, the more I realized that it erred towards un-euphonized perfection.

I only heard of Bujalski for the first time the other night -- was trying to explain mumblecore to my sister, which I am only familiar with, myself, theoretically (hadn't actually seen any mumblecore films, according to wikipedia). ( a ) Are you familiar with mumblecore? ( b ) Would you recommend it to me? ( c ) Is this mumblecore?

I love chess, though I have not played in many years. When I did play, I was...adequate. I would actually like to say I'm very good, because I was taught by some greats (my father -- classic two Russians getting together to socialize, talk politics, and play chess), and though I never beat him, I have beaten most every other non-Russian opponent at least once.

Continued Misfits -- episode two takes it to a whole 'nother level -- weird mix of black comedy, supernatural, British, horror, thriller and...drama? Wait, how'd they squeeze that tear of sympathy out of me? HOW? I mean, the two stories weren't even related and then, wham, out of nowhere... and an amazing soundtrack. Best use of "Girl, You'll Be a Woman Soon", ever.
