  1. Lost abbey saison(?) On tap @ Cafe du Nord Sent from mah Droid
  2. I'm actually pretty happy with the recent anniversary edition that just came out and is fairly ubiquitous, but don't know which version is least damaged via compression, lowest noise floor etc, so wait for others to respond in that regard... Sent from mah Droid
  3. Eating some pumpkin curry @ Another Monkey right now -- outstanding! Sent from mah Droid
  4. Damn straight! Sent from mah Droid
  5. Sorry if this is redudant or watev, but I get outbox in both my inbox & outbox, I don't know if it's tapatalk's problem or ours or whut... Sent from mah Droid
  6. Damnation I can't think of a better (named) drink to be having, nor a better place to be having it (Zeitgeist). (singing). Heaven! Sent from mah Droid
  7. Can fish live in mineral oil? And/or in heated water? I.E. in heated mineral oil?
  8. Obviously, buy the one that's heavier.
  9. Huzzah. I shouldn't say that I didn't know what "hooding" meant, and pictured an "abduction" type of hooding for a split second before I figured out what it meant.
  10. I'd actually be more interested in the dated stuff.
  11. It certainly isn't slouch news. I will hungrily eat all of these up. I think some of the more interesting things to me are: the background info that will go into the books in the sets that will have them (I.E. the "Experience" versions); the live versions (certainly the Raving and Drooling era shows from WYWH/Animals era); I will eat up anything artwork related created by Storm Thorgerson -- I love his stuff, he's probably in my top 10 favorite visual artists of all time, right up there with Dave McKean, et al; and, of course, any high-res versions that they release. WYWH being one of my two favorite albums of all time, I'm more excited about the Immersion edition of that album:
  12. So: anyone in the bay area want to do something? I don't have a car, but I could probably get a ride to the BART. I don't have any specific plans other than Saturday night. I know Al is on trial, and I know the rest of you left coasters are probably working during the day today and Monday, but...evenings? I could probably also get a zipcar, which, now that I think about it, I might do for Sunday or Monday. EDIT: Okay, it's a given, I'm getting a zipcar at some point. They have an Audi A3 near here, and I can't think of anything better to do than rent an Audi A3 with a sunroof and an iPod and go tooling up to Russian River Brewing Co. So I'm thinking of doing that on Sunday.
  13. I'm pretty sure it was this one, but for some reason it is not on their website.
  14. Someone who blew their wad on the tubes?
  15. Some mix that my sister's roommate has that is awesome. I'm a gonna have to get a copy of that. Also yesterday/last night: Lamb, 5 -- superb. Perfectly made tea on a sunny afternoon good. Also, Live at Koko Pendragon, Passion -- not hearing the David Gilmour, but otherwise loving it.
  16. How did that turn out? I'm a recent convert to ceviche...let me phrase that, I only just discovered ceviche, and I love it. Eggs ceviche? Me: I just had the best corned beef hash I have ever had at Homemade Cafe (in Oakland). Technically, it's pastrami, but it works really well with the herbs they use.
  17. It depends on the product. Some of them you can still cancel if you act quickly enough.
  18. I actually don't know that we actually went into Canada -- they may have just been saying that. The air certainly didn't smell any different. No worries, I actually started laughing at all their complications and the resolutions to their complications -- and I thought of the flying faster thing, but not the travel back in time thing. (I mean, why didn't they just go to Denver and circle until they ran out the gas?) I suspect they did also fly faster as part of their "plan". It didn't suck for me as much as it did for other people. There was a whole group of people missing their connecting flights -- some to China, and there is no other flight to China today, so they're...well, a lot more fucked than I was. And at least I could afford a cab ride, there was another girl who just didn't have the $50+ for a cab ride. And it was her birthday. And they weren't comping cab rides. Like they said they would. Next time I'm going to ask for that in writing. Although hopefully there won't be a next time. 2nd worst flight of my life. (It was only a 4+ hour delay, my worst was 24 hours.) Today: freakin' relaxing! Vacation! First almost week-long vacation since before I was unemployed (I took time off before, but I always did because of something I had to do -- paperwork, cleaning, moving, etc.)! So hurray for that!
  19. Okay, now it's just getting silly -- we're taking off, but we're flying through canada to burn off the fuel rather than offload it. Sent from mah Droid
  20. It gets worse -- now we have to wait an hour (in dc) for qualified personnel to take fuel off the plane, so that we don't weigh too much when we stop in denver. Lamb is the only thing keeping my blood pressure down right now. I don't want booze right now. Sent from mah Droid
  21. Can't, I'm now stuck on the plane AND they're talking about where to stop my non-stop flight in Denver or Chicago. FUCK! Sent from mah Droid
  22. it was a Case Logic, but I don't know the model. Sent from mah Droid
  23. Waiting for delayed flights sucks Sent from mah Droid
  24. Happy Birthday, Justin! Sent from mah Droid from the airport
