  1. Congrats, Nate!
  2. Drove an audi a3 pzev...like a boss. Sent myself a whole bunch of CD's. About to get on train to airport. Sent from mah Droid
  3. Any clues as to who was the manufacturer?
  4. I paid $1 for my Droid. That was a one-day deal on Dell, but you should be able to get it for a lot less than $200, now that it's "previous generation" technology. Of course, I am not burdened with the experience of anything more contemporary/faster/whathaveyou.
  5. Yeah, I have to agree, except for entirely different reasons -- when I am active (I.E. breathing through my mouth for extra air), I have a tendency to change the shape of my ear canals minutely, albeit constantly. Add to that sweat (I.E. lube), and you have the recipe for an inferior listening experience using IEM's.
  6. Earlier @ Alembic: anchor brown & an 'orange & black', which was actually pretty good considering 1/2 ipa; tried Al's pale horse & vow of silence (cocktails), both of which were good, but the pale horse was superb Now: some malty dubbel @ Toronado Sent from mah Droid
  7. Nothing. And I'm hungry. I should go eat something.
  8. No, you got trashed for not speaking clearly, and speaking in hyperbole. Take, for example, your above statement, comparing it to the Benchmark. I don't even know what it means -- so which is better? Are you saying the FiiO E7 is a better DAC at its price point than the Benchmark is at its, or are you saying it's just plain better? Also -- what was the point in picking on Tyll? It's hypothetical anyway -- you said, "if in same town", like you want to downplay the part where one of you would have to travel to the other. Really? You don't think we know the game of this by now?
  9. Premarin? Might get some steroids out of it, too, since it's essentially horse piss.
  10. Halou's Wiser show was glorious. I was in heaven for an hour or so. They must have rehearsed the shit out of it, because she hit every single note spot on. The chick from Unwoman (on cello) was astoundingly cute, too (Rebecca was gorgeous), and Patrick the drummer was groovin' with a groovy groove, and Ryan was in an inordinately good mood that was just contageous. And the violinist and double-bassist were very good, too. So glad I came, so glad I went.
  11. Lost abbey saison(?) On tap @ Cafe du Nord Sent from mah Droid
  12. I'm actually pretty happy with the recent anniversary edition that just came out and is fairly ubiquitous, but don't know which version is least damaged via compression, lowest noise floor etc, so wait for others to respond in that regard... Sent from mah Droid
  13. Eating some pumpkin curry @ Another Monkey right now -- outstanding! Sent from mah Droid
  14. Damn straight! Sent from mah Droid
  15. Sorry if this is redudant or watev, but I get outbox in both my inbox & outbox, I don't know if it's tapatalk's problem or ours or whut... Sent from mah Droid
  16. Damnation I can't think of a better (named) drink to be having, nor a better place to be having it (Zeitgeist). (singing). Heaven! Sent from mah Droid
  17. Can fish live in mineral oil? And/or in heated water? I.E. in heated mineral oil?
  18. Obviously, buy the one that's heavier.
  19. Huzzah. I shouldn't say that I didn't know what "hooding" meant, and pictured an "abduction" type of hooding for a split second before I figured out what it meant.
  20. I'd actually be more interested in the dated stuff.
  21. It certainly isn't slouch news. I will hungrily eat all of these up. I think some of the more interesting things to me are: the background info that will go into the books in the sets that will have them (I.E. the "Experience" versions); the live versions (certainly the Raving and Drooling era shows from WYWH/Animals era); I will eat up anything artwork related created by Storm Thorgerson -- I love his stuff, he's probably in my top 10 favorite visual artists of all time, right up there with Dave McKean, et al; and, of course, any high-res versions that they release. WYWH being one of my two favorite albums of all time, I'm more excited about the Immersion edition of that album:
  22. So: anyone in the bay area want to do something? I don't have a car, but I could probably get a ride to the BART. I don't have any specific plans other than Saturday night. I know Al is on trial, and I know the rest of you left coasters are probably working during the day today and Monday, but...evenings? I could probably also get a zipcar, which, now that I think about it, I might do for Sunday or Monday. EDIT: Okay, it's a given, I'm getting a zipcar at some point. They have an Audi A3 near here, and I can't think of anything better to do than rent an Audi A3 with a sunroof and an iPod and go tooling up to Russian River Brewing Co. So I'm thinking of doing that on Sunday.
  23. I'm pretty sure it was this one, but for some reason it is not on their website.
