  2. Listened to Mojo's covers version of Pink Floyd's The Wall -- some interesting choices, I especially liked Helado Negro's version of Adios Mundo Maldito Also, Mojo's Man Machine compilation Also, 2 or 3 paulstretched tracks from Al Di Meola & Kylie Minogue Sent from mah Droid
  3. Okay, to be fair, I'm going to answer my phone to everyone else, "oh, you're still here?" Sent from mah Droid
  4. Not Life & Limb Not Bitches Brew Got a taste of Hellhound on mah Ale -- I like it, might be my favorite hoppy beer yet, more than My Antonia Sent from mah Droid
  5. Bummer, considering. Sent from mah Droid
  6. Oh. Me: Malbecathon -- Norton Reserva vs. Alamos Seleccion And the winner is me.
  7. Nice. I wonder if that was intentional.
  8. Ah. I don't follow tweets avidly -- which would explain why I couldn't find it on the website. Also: sequestered. And yes, got your message -- I anticipate. And: not taking the dare.
  9. OH fuckme...what time do they close? Fuck fuck fuck fuck fuck. Might have to make the sojourn tomo. Or rather, later today, at this point. Also, isn't Limb & Life the keg version, and Life & Limb the bottle version? I don't think there's a difference, just trying to honor the naming convention.
  10. Karuki Zamen Kuri no Hana / 加爾基 精液 栗ノ花 / カルキ・ザーメン・くりのはな / Lime, Semen, Chestnut Blossoms / whatevs... Shiina Ringo -- I love this album so much.
  11. Papaya Mango tea from Snapple
  12. So does Sunday still come after? We'll see..
  13. Agreed -- I have a feeling they think even more lowly of him (them? the family radio people) for the whole "giving us a bad name" thing.
  14. I feel really bad about this, but not that bad that I'm not still going to do it -- I'm going to call my religious friends next week, "...oh, just checking in, wanted to see if you were still around..."
  15. I thought it was 5:45 am?
  16. I've had this discussion before, although not with you -- well-recorded metal, hard rock, etc. -- what I call 'busy music', mostly because of the distorted guitars -- benefits the most from high res. Also, large scale orchestral works. No, I haven't gotten around to purchasing it yet. Also: Jeff Lynne productions & the like. Also: the last two tracks have some of my favorite guitar tones, evar. Also, the triangle at the beginning of YYZ. Also, the breaking glass. Also, the guitars that were recorded in the middle of a lake for Red Barchetta. Sent from mah Droid
  17. Fuller's vintage -- not just yum, but holyshitsnacks yum. Sent from mah Droid
  18. That's awesome that that's on a .gov site.
  19. I don't know, but yes, recently. They had good beer the last time I was there, too, so at least for several months now.
  20. Always interested in something new. Speaking of which: listening to The Octopus by Amplifier now. Digging.
  21. Really glad you liked it. Finished The Reckoning. Started The Gathering. More tweeny stuff, but I'm enjoying it. Not as much as Women of the Otherworld stuff, but still enjoying it well enough. Can't wait for Spellbound, though. Read The Touch of Twilight (Vicki Petersson), started City of Souls. I don't know -- she keeps painting herself into corners, so I'll finish the Zodiac series, but don't think I'll read anything else by her.
  22. Castle Also: Archer.
  23. If you watch that video of her appearance on whatever that radio show was at google, they go over it quite a bit -- she can basically control every layer independently, except they're all synced up. Me: Anathema (just Vinny and Danny doing an acoustic set with looping) and Blackfield -- was an awesome show, I actually like their (Blackfield's) slower stuff better than Porcupine Tree's (I find PT's slowest stuff "sleepy", whereas Blackfield's is not). The Anathema set ruled. Real interesting rendition of Broken, and they played all excellent songs. Also, the best I've ever heard the 9:30 club, due to acoustic sets not having a whole lot of bass to fuck up).
  24. (rolls eyes @ obstinate ...er...whatever the opposite of progressivism is...retardation?)
  25. Sam Adams Wee Heavy -- which was a bit heavy, go figure. Otherwise, very good. Earlier: Old Rasputin & Cigar City Marzen on tap at 9:30, which were both very good.
