  1. (shakes fist skywards)
  2. Holy shit! Looks like they remastered Electric Rendezvous, too!
  3. That looks like it was a custom graphics job for the last CanJam.
  4. You found sepia works best? Nice!
  5. I'm going to begin using "Schmerzgrenze" as an expletive. In other words, I don't understand the verbage, what kind of driver is that?
  6. In other words, I don't think SuckItALO is doing much business right now. You know, for overworking the help.
  7. Looks like the answer is yes -- you may have to put some server software on your computer, but...well, start here. As soon as I saw, "...to serve the files to the Oppo...", I was happy, and stopped reading -- I can always go back once I get one and follow along, if I can't figure it out.
  8. 3 moar bags of Peppercorn Ranch Sun Chips -- must have gotten them at Wegman's, 'cause that's where I got these.
  9. Everything Everything, Man Alive I dl'd this purely on a whim, and it is bizarrely good. Think Daryl Hall & Peter Gabriel's twisted offspring on lead vocals (he does this weird thing where he's constantly changing between his head voice and his chest voice, but not yodeling or crooning, just singing in this really bizarre range for him), and some 90's R&B backup band on instruments -- yet, they're not just some backup band, but the kind of backup band that have real chops -- prog-level chops -- but they're holding back when they're playing R&B, and they fully let go on this album. It's prog, but it doesn't sound like any prog I've ever heard before. There are disco beats, electronic claps, and all sorts of things. Just strangely good. Going to have to listen to this again.
  10. I thought SuckItALO's license was temporarily suspended pending review?
  11. Man, that 93 is turning out to be pretty expensive for some people. Short answer -- no. It might make something easier for you, but unlikely. I'm not sure what a networking receiver needs networking for (other than the obvious), though, so take my answer with a small shake of salt.
  12. No, 'Jesus' is being used as an expletive in that context ('Jesus' is almost always an expletive when I'm using it). It was in response to the concept of spending $1300 on car repairs.
  13. They might have put them back up, I'm listening to the rhythm track right now -- try refreshing the page, it might be entirely new links. That said, thanks for the reminder, I need to find a way to rip those and ASAP. EDIT: Nope, only the one guitar and the drum tracks are left. Damnit, really wanted that Merry Clayton track.
  14. It's only because Todd is so quiet, but he's still cooler.
  15. Jesus. New air filter:
  16. Was: Chipotle burrito bowl Is: Sun Chips Peppercorn Ranch (Where the hell did I find these? Need to find moar. The only flavors I usually find are cheddar, salsa, onion, and ...uh... plain?)
  17. AKG K142 HD is on amazon cyber deals right now, already into the last 15 minutes and more or less sold out.

    Blu-spec CD

I've heard of them. I agree it sounds like a gimmick. I also agree it wouldn't be necessary with EAC or iTunes with paranoia (?) turned on. Depends how bad your CD player is, I guess. I imagine it's no better or worse than the best CD's, but I imagine it's better than the worst.
  19. Done. (My cool quotient needed work.) I'll take the "was..." part off in a month or so.
  20. Ooh, new Dead Weather. (does the "wanders off and..." thing)
  21. Gimmer Shelter deconstructed -- very cool! I love stuff like that.
  22. Human Target -- okay, I no longer view her as a child. Yowza.
  23. Ulrich Schnauss & Kirsty Hawkshaw, Two Trees -- bliss. out. Too bad it's so short and no longer available. Grrr...
