  1. In crappy's defense, Nate, he was instructed to...
  2. (laughs)...oh, that's fucked up...(laughs some more)
  3. Oh yes, I remember, I wouldn't dare to suggest otherwise. I'm kind of the same way about Ghost in the Shell, although I did skip the domestic release of Ghost in the Shell: Innocence because of the lack-of-dub travesty. Except I don't have to get them when they come out -- I can wait a little bit until I found out if anything is drastically wrong, or there is definitively a better version (in the case of GitS:I -- the European version ended up being far superior, having a dub voiced by the same cast as GitS:SAC.
  4. If it's a new transfer, it's more likely than not 1080p. But...you're not waiting for the Merkin release?
  5. What if they were fake? EDIT: And besides, the apt comparison is not to be holding the boobs, but to be holding the rest of the girl, and shaking her back and forth in a medium-speed rocking motion, and then watch what the boobs do.
  6. (ponders this)
  7. (thinks back) I vaguely remember something like that happening to me once, yes... Like I said, a decent attempt -- hey, at least they tried.
  8. LOL @ a decent attempt at getting the boob physics right.
  9. "All Things Must Vinyl" would be a great name for a store. Or website. Or personal slogan. Or...
  10. And funnily enough, just after I dropped Colin off after submitting him to some really lame music (rockabilly and disco), on came Iwrestledabearonce: YouTube - Iwrestledabearonce - You Aint No Family (Dj Maverick Remix)
  11. Why, is it going to have a better interface for the iPod?
  12. I want to say $25-ish. And as was mentioned by Mike, I got it at Total Wine. It might be a seasonal thing, because I've never seen them there before, and now there's plenty. Crappy -- I have no idea, but they really went all out, did the research, and redesigned the glasses from the ground up -- do a search on it, it's interesting reading. Here is the one article I read.
  13. Spent most of the day with Colin -- that was nice. Discovered that the Oppo BDP-83(SE) can host an iPod. Good, yes? No -- it does it straight from the disk, so all you see are a bunch of 4 (?) letter hashes for the file names and directories. Def going to get a 2TB external, though, there's no excuse it can't do that.
  14. The sarcasm, it is strong with this one.
  15. That reminds me of a story. I used to work in the same building as a blind guy with a seeing eye dog. We once went to the bathroom in adjacent stalls. Dog was lying down looking up at me. I couldn't go. So I suspect that no matter how much I had to go, the answer would be ... no, I would not be able to.
  16. Nice! Glad they were better than expected, and that you ignored my advice and took the gamble.
  17. Purely wildly guessing: one less buffer stage on both outputs? (The presumed missing buffer being the one that you would use to split the two signals.) A more technical person than I would please verify.
  18. That was completely unnecessary. And now my sides hurt from laughing so hard.
  19. One banana... Two banana... Three banana... ...three bananas.
  20. It was probably a fad at the time. Look at some Venetian Snares album covers. And/or a "high fashion" fad.
  21. Maybe that's one of them "reel 'em in" things that I used to hear sales were used for. I mean, it's not like it's discounted to the point of loss.
  22. Not Black Books, obviously. You seem...different, somehow. (squints)
  23. Goddamnit, how do you watch a whole episode of Brew Masters on the Discovery channel? All I see are a bunch of pieces, and I don't know what order to watch them in. I watched the first piece earlier in the week, and was completely turned off, despite having been completely won over by Sam Calagione in the movie, Beer Wars: the "Makin' Bitches Brew rap" section.
