  1. Stuck. And the correct terminology is "Someone should stick this thread." Me: Little Boots/Gary Numan collaboration: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JWL6gsUoNFw, http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hEQW4lnonno, http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EETEv1Xt4WY, and a bonus, (w/just Gary Numan).
  2. Nice specs, and I approve of the color scheme.
  3. My thoughts exactly. Not verbatim, but...close enough. I think I might have said, "yeezh" instead of "sheesh".
  4. So say we all. I'm so glad we have you, Tyll.
  5. Had some more Eau de Cookie II last night. It was better than it was the previous night -- I can't imagine beer needing to "breathe", though.
  6. Tyll's there somewhere. Live updates!
  7. Tuna salad samich. You mean, "when...".
  8. Regarding the video/shootout -- I wish they had used a higher-res source -- analog/live sound, perhaps? I mean, they have a whole studio around them. Running a CD (16/44.1) into a high-res convertor doesn't make me feel all warm and fuzzy.
  9. Actually, I think Al was trying to say he suspects Monster is going to go after them, not that they have already.
  10. Little Boots, Hands -- synthpop on the order of Goldfrapp, Kylie, et al. Quite retro and very pop, but with some strong songwriting underneath: Little Boots - Stuck on Repeat
  11. And the stylized "s" logo is a little too close to what would be the font for the Beats "b" -- this is one lawsuit I actually think is Monster's.
  12. That's actually pretty cool. They also have Owl w/headphones.
  13. We were getting a lot of double-posts, and we're seeing if keeping the threads shorter helps with that, because it seemed to be more with the longer threads.
  14. Actually, you're kind of agreeing. The alternative viewpoint could be phrased thusly: ...they won't sound different, then they probably won't. And I don't know of any DBT that could refute that particular placebo effect. And kudos to all for keeping this potential charged subject civil. Cheers!
  15. Not necessarily the same, this is more about the DACses than about the transports: pro HD shootout.
  16. Enemy of the Sun, Caedium -- quite easily album of the week for me. Nicely complex metal without being "math metal", and the vocals aren't laughably bad.
  17. Are you sure about this? I thought they had to be bit-perfect in order for DTS to work. I thought running a DTS DVD (or CD, if you can find one) into a DTS-decoding receiver was another way to check bit-perfection.
  18. Somehow I missed this first time through -- the addition of USB (async, no less -- really?!?!? (becomes excited like a puppy wagging his tail)) is a definite plus. Should be on anyone's short list in the market (I no longer am, but if I come into some money somehow, then I'd probably seriously consider it).
  19. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=M2eiP12hQQY. And yes, I realize there's probably an app for that.
  20. She's pretty great. Reminds me of Mary Ford w/Les Paul, mostly due to the self-harmonizing, but the fact that it's a good song to begin with doesn't hurt.
  21. hemce, support headcase!
  22. Crematory, Black Pearls

They misspelled Hackensack. Or they ran out of C's. Of course, this coming from a placed calling itself ShopRite.
