  1. You've never had your SHSH blobs saved on cydia? EDIT: That's okay, I'm not old, and that phrase might as well have been in a foreign language.
  2. It was certainly not real wasabi. Real wasabi has more of a "dry" finish than I remember these having. That said, it was one of the more potent Doritos (or any name-brand chip that I can think of) I've ever had, but neither was it as potent as real wasabi. Those things said, it worked for me as a chip flavor, which is why I didn't call it full-on wasabi-flavored Doritos, and I would have it again if I stumbled across it while in the mood for chips (which I'm usually not).
  3. So simple, so elegant ghetto. Technical question to people familiar with the issue -- does this do anything to capacitance? Does "not touching it" really help the problem? So someone is going to come out with non-conducting hand protector specifically for the iPhone? Is there going to be an Apple iGlove?
  4. You slept? Huzzah.
  5. I saw that on amazon and thought, "that is such an odd mix, I can't imagine them collaborating, they must have just mentioned two releases at the same time in the same breath"...but no...
  6. Bulgogi chicken It was kind of a firey horse-radishy wasabi-y flavor. Surprisingly not bad, I'd have it again.
  7. AK 100 -- 25 films by Akira Kurosawa (thanks Jin! )
  8. This, still. Standout tracks include the Gary-Wright-esque title track; the Frank-Zappa-ish "Sleeping Under the Stars"; I also hear Tommy Bolin, the Faces, and Gospel. EDIT: I might have meant "Free" instead of "The Faces", not sure.
  9. Giving up what?
  10. Oh, just get it already. (Dusty decides to play a different role this time)
  11. Pink Martini is fun. I wonder what they're like live?
  12. No, you'll be all wired up and trying to sleep. Sleep well...well, no, actually, sleep "typically", so that if there is anything wrong, they pick up on it. Sleep apnea can affect you directly, you know. It's a good indicator for other things being wrong.
  13. Well, that's not really fair, you have to make a special trip for everything other than homebrew. You have it backwards -- I already made the special trip, then didn't buy it.
  14. You all have more refined palates than I do -- I don't differentiate between tart and sour -- let's put it this way, if someone said they didn't like sour, I wouldn't have offered them that drink, even if I did understand the difference. On topic -- I almost bought a La Fin du Monde last night, but had to put that and a bunch of Paradoxes and a bunch of Black Holes back -- just too many beers to buy. I will try it one of these days, but since it's available closer, I didn't think it was worth buying it there just because it was in front of me. Did you know they have a bunch of different variants of the Mikkeller Black Hole -- regular, and several different barrel-aged varieties (wine, rum, etc.).
  15. She's alright:
  16. Wait, what? I thought you didn't like 'sour'?
  17. I didn't like Festina Peche at all. (There ya go, just in case you were being sarcastic.) It's true. Isekadoya is the brewery name.
  18. I cannot stop listening to Pain of Salvation's Road Salt One.
  19. Ricky's Rice Bowl chicken bulgogi
  20. Wow. And, as everyone else has said: good luck.
  21. Travel system? Aren't they fairly huge -- and dare I say, too nice -- for travel? They're basically the upper section of a Gallo Reference 3.1, aren't they?
  22. Fucking awesome. I love when smart people are righteous. I still take it with a grain of salt, though -- smart people know how to manipulate anything to their advantage. But still...love reading a good take-down.
  23. "...adulation..." -- Freudian slip? "...and full range speaks for all out assault" -- sounds to me you want something with a bit of dynamics, so no Magnepans. Unless you're going to double or triple or even quadruple them.
